So I do the food shopping and all I ask is help to bring stuff up the stairs to our apartment (3 flights). We moved three weeks ago, so we've done this arrangement twice.

I messaged DH fifteen mins before I arrive, told him I'm coming home, and when I got to our place, he was not downstairs. I called him and he said he didn't think I needed him to come down.

I was so so pissed off. AIBU?

No, I'm in Australia. I sent a message 15 minutes before because I know he takes his sweet time to move, especially on a Saturday morning.

Fair enough Ate! I just had this vision of someone sitting seething in Croydon for about 12 hours before exploding 'Right, that's it! I'm posting on mumsnet........'.

For what it's worth, I think he was quite inconsiderate. Make sure he spends tomorrow fetching things up and down the stairs all day whilst you lounge around!

YANBU to want a hand up the stairs, but I think expecting him to hang around downstairs for your ETA is a bit excessive.

Have you got buzzers by the main front entrance?

I just buzz DP on my way back in if I want a hand up the stairs with the buggy and shopping, and he's now trained to appear in time.
