DP has been at company 4 years and is very experienced, training, qualifications etc. The rest of his team bar one have been there less than a year and no qualifications etc. He is on the same salary as the rest of the team despite being 'team leader' was promised a pay rise in October but despite much chasing it kept getting put off they then offered him an extra £1k a year as that's all the budget would allow. DP has been looking for a new job and saw his current company looking for someone to be a Team leader on a different shift (same job/responsibility as DP) but the salary is £4-7k more a year depending on experience!!!!

AIBU to want him to apply for the job, his company are taking the piss!!

Before people moan I shouldn't get involved, we need the extra money hence looking for a new job.

Title is misleading, he has told his company without the pay rise he doesn't want the xtra responsibility or hours of team leader and would just be a team member like everyone else. He hasn't resigned completely.
