Dc aged 9 and 6 drove me crackers in the supermarket earlier as I was attempting a weekly shop so I ended up abandoning the trolley and hauling them out.

As a consequence, we've not much food in the house. I was about to cook something when dd2 whined she didn't want that, she wanted something else. Dd1 whined she didn't want that.

I turned off the oven.

WIBU not to feed them this evening?

Nooooooooo, this is do many kind of wrong.
Just get tough on them, they will be converted in no time. You need to make your life easier and theirs tougher. A bit of upheaval and you will all be happier.

"Eat it or don't eat it, there is nothing else". I also don't want to here about it either. There are a few core dislikes that I accept. Passing fads, they can lump it.

DS (6) recently moaned that we had pasta again. I asked him to talk through what he would choose each night for a week that we all like. He was struggling by day 3. It was a useful point to make to him.

I would be infuriated if DH came in and undermined the natural consequences of their behaviour like that.

So you know they won't eat sandwiches or toast, so why offer then it.

I wood run a cafe however I won't force my children to eat means they don't like.

Ds1 wont eat anything with sauces, cabbage, mince, processed food (chicken nuggets, fish fingers etc... he also does not like kidney beans or cannoli beans, however does like baked beans and loves most lentils.
skin veg i.e., tomato , peppers, mushroom onion etc.. won't eat anything with Italian herbs either.

Ds2 can only eat root veg, farm meat, fish, etc...

I have to make meals which they like and will eat.

I'd be very unhappy that they made me abandon our food shop however I would not punish them through food, and you cannot force them to eat foods they don't like, as ultimately they would just be ill.

Ds1 would end up having a bowl of cereal or something, and ds2 would end up having rice and veg.

Punish them, however just don't punish them with food.
