AIBU - decent pyjamas?!

Hello ladies, I am looking for recommendations for where in the U.K. to buy decent cosy comfortable pyjamas that wash well. I am size 12 (more like a 14 on the bum!) and 5ft6. I have tried loads over the years... I always struggle to find styles I like in M&S as often too old for me (aged 30), or lacy frilly numbers designed by their latest celeb aimed at younger ladies which are not warm or comfortable. I gave Jack Wills a try because my husband's bottoms from there are lovely but the women's styles seem to be made for girls without curves as I needed a massive size to accommodate my bum but then they were enormous on the waist! I recently branched out and tried cyberjammies after reading some good reviews, but I find their sizes come up too small, the leg lengths too short (and I am hardly tall!) and they don't wash well. Where to go from here?! Any tips will be greatly appreciated.

Another vote for white company - I've never had pj's so comfy - love them!

Magicpaintbrush · 23/02/2017 20:38

You are the exact same size and height as me and I also struggle to find comfy pjs, so am watching with interest. I did get given some nice ones from next for crimbo. Usually I find pjs tend to be too short on the arms and legs - I hate cold ankles in bed!!

I second Boden @MaryMorpho and I also really recommend Costco! Cheap ( about 12 pounds) 100% cotton and great quality.

Karlakitten1 · 23/02/2017 20:46

Another vote for Sainsbury's here!

SoftSheen · 23/02/2017 20:48

Try White Stuff. Best PJ bottoms I've ever had.

GlitterGlue · 23/02/2017 20:52

Primark are good, but the legs shrink terribly if you tumble dry.

House of Fraser do some in their dickins and jones range that wash and dry well without shrinking. Not particularly keen on some of the patterns, but they're only for sleeping in.

NeedMoreSleepOrSugar · 23/02/2017 20:54

Primark. I much prefer them over much more expensive brands.

Toffeelatteplease · 23/02/2017 20:55

Primark

Toffeelatteplease · 23/02/2017 20:56

Have no problem tumble drying any of my primark stuff

chipsandpeas · 23/02/2017 20:56

im a 30 + year old child and love the disney jammies from primark

GirlsonFilm · 23/02/2017 20:59

Asda do some good separate pyjamas top and bottoms in black, navy or grey. Really comfortable and good value - £10 a set

Lemontwist · 23/02/2017 20:59

I second White Stuff. They are the most comfortable pj's I've ever had. DH thinks I'm loopy cos every time I put them on I go on about how comfy they are. Mine were on offer from the Designer Outlet though. They're pretty pricey usually.
They've been washed loads now and still like new.

HazelBite · 23/02/2017 21:05

My favourites ie the ones I took to wear in hospital, were from ASDA, I have had some from Primark (who always have a good selection) they are not so long lasting as my ASDA ones.

redexpat · 23/02/2017 21:12

Primark.

Purplebluebird · 23/02/2017 21:13

I buy in Next or Primark.

CrazyCatLaydee123 · 23/02/2017 21:14

Another vote for Morrisons - I normally can't stand the place but I popped in for something else and wandered into their clothing section. Found some lovely PJ bottoms in the sale that are super soft and have pockets, ended up going back for more.
Also size 12 and 5'6".

Debenhams j by jasper conran

Dh buys me a pair every Xmas and I love them

HarryPottersMagicWand · 23/02/2017 21:22

I can't believe the amount of people saying Primark, I think they're shite. I never tumble dry them but the legs shrink massively and the trousers always feel like they are on backwards even though they aren't.

I got a nice pair from Next for Christmas Eve, the legs seem to have gone bobbly in a couple of places but the seem decent. Watching this thread though.

Im a tiny bit taller and my issue is leg length. They are always too short to if anyone knows where you can get longer leg, please share. I know Next do on some of theirs.

I've also done what a few posters said, pj bottoms (leggings from TU as then they aren't flapping around my ankle) and a plain t shirt for the top.

liz70 · 23/02/2017 21:22

Primark, definitely.

MsJamieFraser · 23/02/2017 21:24

Yes baker pjs for me, my in laws get me a pair every year and I still have the first ones they ought me 12 years ago.

Jigsaw also, I have a few pair from them and they are still like new

luckydraw · 23/02/2017 21:24

White Company, Boden or Victoria's Secret.

MsJamieFraser · 23/02/2017 21:24

*ted

gincamelbak · 23/02/2017 21:27

White stuff are great for "show pyjamas" - ie ones I wear when staying with friends or family.
Primark for cheap but wash well pyjamas.
Next - I have a pair of fleecy inside pyjamas that resemble a track suit but with forest animals on them. The weird narrow leg roomy bum trousers mean I will only wear them in my house not when staying away. But my god, they are lovely and cosy.

Elledouble · 23/02/2017 21:36

This is why I miss BHS, I always got my pjs in there Sad They did lovely silky ones that weren't too expensive. I wish I'd bought a load before they closed.

My problem is long legs - I've got a pair from Primark and the bottoms finish mid-calf! Actually, the best ones I've had recently are from The Essential One which I bought on amazon. They're maternity ones but I still wear them cos they're so comfy Blush I was gutted when I couldn't take them to hospital because my waters had broken in them and they were soaked!
