to ask what is your favourite / disliked emoijis ?

i'm most likely to use the Grin on here as i have a silly sense of humour and i have a mad grin in real life [think slightly deranged], i like the emojis in general but i cannot stand that stupid crying with laughter one.
dc and dh are on fb and they point it out on posts to me to wind me up as it is so irritating, it seems that it is one of the most frequently used with mildly amusing posts and hardly worth a smile let alone wetting yourself over. 'my 6 yo dd spilt baked beans on the table' said emoiji x 4 .really ? ffs how is that so funny ?

I don't like them. I use the 'grin' one here sometimes to avoid being taken too seriously mostly, but that's it.

I just prefer actual words, I think. To be honest, hardly anyone I know uses them in messages. I"m always a bit surprised when someone does,

Can I take a moment to ask something that's been bugging me lately? What's the difference between a smilie and emoiji? Years ago smilies were all the rage and you could get some really good ones. Now it's emoijis, what's the difference?

I liked the one like this but with smiley eyes 😬 why did they get rid?

because it was supposed to be "grinning face with smiling eyes" and Apple's drawing of it as a grimace caused a lot of confusion.
