That's it basically. I feel like it's hard to find genuine people. And when I say that, it sounds so pessimistic. If you knew me, you would know I'm the very optimistic. However, although I have some good friends, through experience I have found that people break trust and promises very easily ("Don't say anything but such and such has this massive thing happening in her life"- said by her best friend). People also say one thing but then do another ("i can't stand such and such, flick to FB and there they are "ah Hun, love you, so beautiful"). People can't just tell the truth (come round to mine for wine, but don't tell such and such as I've told her I'm ill- I'm put in an awkward position there).
I understand that we are all different, that we all cope with social niceties in different ways, I think I'm just becoming jaded.
Speaking to DH tonight and I could name 2 people who I genuinely trust. The FB thing is really starting to do my head in (I know, come off it blah blah - I'm far to nosey for that). All the selfie stuff "gorgeous Hun", "beauty" etc. I'm all for woman loving one another, but sometimes it's said just 'because'.
Call me a miserable awld hag, but does anyone else see through all of this?
