Just seen a mouse run from one side of kitchen to the other...by time h got in it was gone. After a while I convinced him to go get traps...no traps in Asda but he got some posoin...so
He has put the along sides and behind cupboard skirting boards. I had left the window open tonight so obv how it got in. I could cry have a genuine fear. What's the chances the posoin will work tonight and there's only been one Sad

I've got 17 out my loft so far... and I can hear them chewing again tonight. God knows what. I worry about the wiring. They aren't in the house...yet.

I keep telling dh we need to get someone in but he won't. He also won't deal with the fucking things so I have to be the one who empties the traps every morning. We back onto fields and they are getting up through the garage loft space. I've no idea how to stop them, I feel it's virtually impossible.

I think that the kindest way to kill them is with the snap traps, even though I hate killing anything. However they cannot live in my house. They have no bladder and so wee constantly over everything. They chew. They spread disease. I have a baby crawling all round the floor. Ergo they must die.
If I get more than 30 I'm definitely getting someone in to sort it out.

They love Nutella. Good luck OP!

Skatingonthinice16 · 18/02/2017 22:59

Yeah. We had them about three years ago and I got 24 that year. Then nothing for a couple of years. And now they are back.

Peaches77 · 18/02/2017 23:38

I'd have burbtvthe house down!

So appropriate for me today, we discovered a mouse yesterday! We get them now and again, they don't last too long tho as my cat catches them. Have given everything a good bleach and hoovered up any dropped food.

As PP have said if you catch one you either have to drive it very far away, or kill it - a co worker of mine was helping her DS move into his new house and his PIL were there. A mouse ran out and as my co worker was screaming, the MIL calmly grabbed a big book and killed it! My co worker was like Shock

Peaches77 · 19/02/2017 17:48

Ugh still not caught it! No droppings checked under the stairs nothing all clear grrrrrrr

I reckon it's gone Peaches! Fingers crossed.

I agree. I read about what the poison does slowly and decided against it. There's no ideal option but at least the snap traps are usually quick.

Peaches77 · 19/02/2017 20:03

I hate the thought of killing anything but they make my skin crawl and the reviews on the humane traps are not good so I went snap. Now I have a missing baby bottle and I'm panicking lol

The bring them in alive and let them go so they can have the pleasure of hunting them and catching them again. Yup, if you want a mouse free live, get a cat today grin.

Maybe someone should tell Sadiq Khan Grin

Peaches77 · 19/02/2017 22:40

Missing baby bottle found panic over mr mouse didn't steal it 🙈🙈😁

We had another one yesterday too, I thought of you Peaches. Hope yours have cleared off now. Ours was quite big again, wonder where she's finding them?!

Cat looked bored by it so there's no telling how long it was lying under my computer chair looking tragic...

Peaches77 · 19/02/2017 22:58

Still nothing...the night I saw it (just the once) it was in the kitchen. So that is where we have the six traps and we have caught 0. Filled in the hole we found under the kickboards yesterday H is fed up listening to me now he's convinced it's gone I'm not 😥😥

Our cat brings in live mice and voles. And birds. Another vote for chocolate laced snap traps.

After lengthy alcohol-fueled discussion it was decided that if cat let another creature go (and we couldn't catch it eg under sofa) then it was acceptable to erm use the vacuum cleaner to entice it out... Confused

Peaches77 · 20/02/2017 20:36

Arghhhhh still nothing
