To ask for Inverness shopping help

Monkeyface26 · 15/02/2017 16:44

Can anyone offer some advice please? Husband overnight for work in Dunblane tonight and has early train to Inverness tomorrow, where he is staying overnight for work tomorrow.
He has apparently had a shirt fiasco and now doesn't have enough. Can anyone advise whether/where one might buy a man's shirt (of the button-down, Oxford, not too formal, not too casual variety?
Many thanks.

M&s?

Wandastartup · 15/02/2017 16:45

Debenhams or MandS?

Jellybean83 · 15/02/2017 16:50

Go to Eastgate shopping centre, they have Debenhams, M&S, Next, Topman, River Island and a lot more, I'm sure he'll find what he's looking for.

TuckersBadLuck · 15/02/2017 16:50

If only there was some sort of online resource to show the location of various retail outlets in relation to Inverness railway station. Somebody should invent that, they'd make millions from it.

mrspitt · 15/02/2017 16:50

East gate shopping centre has Debenhams, M&S, Topman, H&M

mrspitt · 15/02/2017 16:52

Oh and the train station is only a 5 minute walk from the shopping centre 😊

Monkeyface26 · 15/02/2017 17:02

Thank you!
Also, sorry.
Perhaps I should also start a thread that asks 'AIBU to treat Mumsnet like Google because I have spent so much time here lately that I now view it as the source of all knowledge and have forgotten how to think for myself?'

I just popped in to say 'go to Stirling' but see you are sorted!

neverknowinglyunreasonable · 15/02/2017 17:05

tucker

I've got an application (app) on my phone which does exactly that. It's called Google maps. I would definitely recommend it.

TuckersBadLuck · 15/02/2017 17:09

You mean I could have just typed "M & S Inverness" into my phone and it would have revealed it was outside Inverness railway station?

Damn, so much for the plans for my new business empire then. Grin

neverknowinglyunreasonable · 15/02/2017 17:15

Correct.

Although to be fair to our friend monkeyface26 it wouldn't show if they sold shirts.

Monkeyface26 · 15/02/2017 17:26

neverknowinglyunreasonable - you are living up to your name there. Thanks.
I deserve the teasing.
Am putting self into Mumsnet time-out for over-reliance.
