The rally on Saturday should be interesting. From what I can see on Twitter people are booking tickets and not planning to go or booking tickets and planning to go and demonstrate against SCROTUS. We need to keep a close eye on that I think.

He is having a rally because he doesn't like being president and misses the campaign. Like a very bridezilla bride who doesn't much enjoy actual marriage but keeps having wedding reunions, replays etc.

I think the rally is also a power play to remind the GOP why Trump is president.

Many republicans must be concerned about Trump's Russian connections and the risk of appearing guilty by association. Others probably think that Trump is on the back foot and should now be brought to heal.

However, while Trump still has a strong fan base, what can they do?

I agree that he has no interest in the reality of being President, he just likes coming up with slogans like Make America Great Again and Lock Her Up. He has the attention span of a gnat and no interest in detail which you really need in politics. He's like men who just enjoy the thrill of the chase and the honeymoon phase of a new relationship. As soon as the mad passionate part wears off, they lose interest very quickly and start looking for the next bit of excitement.

It is an interview with a few of the biggest names in cryptography. One line particularly stood out to me: Rivest calls for 100% paper ballots which can be readily recounted and verified.

Basically if we want secure elections we should resist the urge to make them electronic. Bits of paper will always be harder to fake and commit fraud with.

Who needs a rally a few weeks after taking office. It's like he wants to give people the opportunity to see and adore him as the great emperor. Next will be great military parades with tanks, weapons and crazy marching.
