I hope they've brushed up their CVs and have good networks, then.

Too right! This was extremely ballsy of the DoL employees and speaks to how desperate they are NOT to have Puzder lead them.

We had politically appointed Agency Directors we absolutely hated but we were too afraid for our jobs cowardly to raise a 'signed' stink with our Congressperson. I doff my hat to these brave employees.

Pudzer is a putz. Really. I hope they manage to get rid of him and get someone decent in. The track record of the GOP, however, is not great.

If by some remote chance Flynn does manage to get indicted on something, Trump will pardon him either before it gets as far as a trial 'in the interests of national security' or Flynn will fall on his sword, plead guilty to avoid trial and receive a pardon/sentence commutation after a 'suitable time'. Either way it'll put the kibosh on damaging information getting out via testimony. Just you mark my words!

Lweji I think the DoL employees just realize how important fair wage/employment issues are to security of the rank and file American worker. They have 'boots on the ground' and understand the struggle of workers and working parents to make ends meet and get ahead. There were a lot of improvements in working conditions (FMLA, Min wage increases, work equality rules to name a few) during the Clinton and Obama Administrations, changes not dismantled by GW Bush for the most part. I think these DoL employees understand that there is a very strong likelihood that Puzder would work to dismantle or eviscerate these pro-worker rules.
