Trudeau Cabinet has 50% women.
Trump Cabinet has 17% women and a photo op with Ivanka.

Photo ops of nepotism are "not seats at the table."

No, they'll probably be stupid, bring him to London and brazen it out, as they fight their way through a million or two protesters. Trump will tweet about the million plus people that came to cheer for him. May will embarrass herself again. And the only good thing we'll likely see is Prince Charles telling Trump off about climate control. We can only hope someone gets it on video. Grin

Interesting. Looks like Senate GOP are much more interested in looking into Flynn than House GOP are.

Indeed, the only reason I didn't comment any further on the post was that I really just couldn't think of anything to say except to roll my eyes and sigh.

this book www.theguardian.com/books/2017/feb/14/david-cay-johnston-publishers-assumed-trump-would-soon-disappear

sounds interesting thanks Lweji
more from the article

'I tried to alert people to what a fraud Trump is. His June 2015 announcement that he would run for president was itself a fraud – the applause that interrupted him 43 times was provided by paid actors'

'This book, my sixth, was my attempt to get journalists to report the copious hard facts. They’d failed to examine the abundant official record on Trump for three main reasons:
one, Trump’s outlandish style made him cheap and easy news;
two, digging through old records and understanding them takes time and skill;
and three, Trump threatened to sue everyone, including me, who mentioned his lifelong criminal ties'

' Trump would later become a major figure in my 1992 book Temples of Chance, which looked at how business moguls took over the casino business from the mafia.
Tim Burton hired me to outline a movie adaptation of Temples of Chance – but Trump killed it with litigation threats.'

'Soon after Trump declared his candidacy, I started writing about his deep entanglements with criminals.
I shared some of my tens of thousands of pages of Trump documents with other journalists, and was saddened when their cautious stories buried key facts and required exceptional reading comprehension to grasp what was between the lines'

An old friend from long ago has posted on Facebook with a link to this article saying "I just had to post this: worth reading"

blogs.spectator.co.uk/2017/02/shameful-hypocrisy-swedens-first-feminist-government/

I would like to send a thoughtful, short but respectful response.
Can anyone help me get my thoughts together?

woman12345 · 14/02/2017 17:09

Neverthelessshepersisted Hmm well the English alt right has a bit of history with Tulip Siddiq. The Freedom Association, which is not about any freedom I recognise has this.
www.tfa.net/tulip-siddiq-is-an-anti-democratic-hypocrite/
Interesting to check out current tories in this organisation, who also have close links with trump.
Hope it helps, but I don't know if I could stretch to a respectful response, can think of some short ones though.

Neverthelessshepersisted · 14/02/2017 17:20

thanks woman.

I don't know much about the writer or the people he is writing about.

But my friend is a person of integrity. I think she has a problem with women leaders covering their heads on state visits. Thinking about it, is there a good reason why they do this?

Neverthelessshepersisted · 14/02/2017 17:20

Also, I'm sure my friend will know nothing about the hidden agendas of the writer...
