President Trump 'won't take travel ban to Supreme Court'

news.sky.com/story/president-trump-wont-take-travel-ban-to-supreme-court-10763249

This is not good, IMO. This means they're rewriting it. I dread to think of what they will come up with.

cozietoesie · 10/02/2017 22:22

Sorry. I retract that. (I put my thinking cap on.)

GingerIvy · 10/02/2017 22:24

cozie you mean the Pat Buchanan one re new SCOTUS? Buchanan is a nutter. I'm hoping they won't be stupid enough to try that.

cozietoesie · 10/02/2017 22:25

Yes, I did mean that. It's .........complicated.

GingerIvy · 10/02/2017 22:27

I'm just horrified that anyone thinks that is a valid option. Hmm Even Buchanan.

MSNBC reports WH has confirmed Flynn did speak to Russian ambassador re sanctions. That means Flynn lied to Pence & admin misled public.

Looks like they're taking it back to Judge Robart to defend on its merits. Not sure how they think that will work.

Enjoy the last moments of Michael Flynn and Sean Spicer. Alas, I don't think they'll be around for long. So many SNL sketches lost. Sigh.

#BREAKING Trump says considering 'brand new order' on immigration

(not a huge shock, eh?)

cozietoesie · 10/02/2017 22:39

SNL should switch to the GOP. (Inner sanctum.) Now that would be interesting.

GingerIvy · 10/02/2017 22:43

New immigration EO likely to be out Monday or Tuesday with stricter controls. Oh lovely.

Weedsnseeds1 · 10/02/2017 22:47

What POTUS clearly fails to understand about the PM of Japan is that he is Japanese. It is seen as rude to say no, so a business meeting tends to be a series of agreements. This does not in any way mean that your demands have been met.

JUST IN: Pres. Trump on Flynn report: "I don't know about that. I haven't seen it. What report is that? ... I'll look into that."

Bollocks.

cozietoesie · 10/02/2017 22:55

Maybe he hasn't? If his No 2 is 'running him', then perhaps he's only given nice things.

Sorry - told that should be. Wink

Yeah. Anyone that's good in legalese feel free to take a crack at it. Grin

cozietoesie · 10/02/2017 23:02

He's trying to win.

GingerIvy · 10/02/2017 23:03

And it's sundown Friday night..... time for things to get crazy..... Hmm

cozietoesie · 10/02/2017 23:11

Florida at the weekends isn't it?

GingerIvy · 10/02/2017 23:11

yeah - I can't help but think he plans on making it a regular thing, which will lose him more of his fan base again....

cozietoesie · 10/02/2017 23:47

Why should it? (Headache for his security people though.)

GingerIvy · 10/02/2017 23:52

Extra money for trip down there by a couple million each weekend according to reports

amispartacus · 10/02/2017 23:53

Why should it

I bet his hard working fans, the ones who are struggling to find work, balance their income and who feel left behind have no issue with a President who wants to fly down to Florida every weekend - this is the same President who wants to spend hardworking taxpayer's money effectively and is proud of saving money.....

I wonder what it costs the US taxpayer when the President spends a lot of time in Florida instead of Washington?
