To hate being called Mrs Noob!

Now I am a proper grown up I find I am called Mrs Noob in many situations; every time I either have a slight delay " ooh thats me" or I cringe! I have tried to work out why.,.... is it that you are reminded you are quite old or is it because Mrs Noob is really my MIL!? What can I do? I frantically introduce myself/sign letters as Brave but to no avail Do I have to accept it is the norm or should I change my name and just be a symbol??

Took me a long time to get used to my married name

Now it feels completely normal

I still slip up on saying husband though. Because I look so young, I feel people don't take me seriously when I say I am married

It's something you have to get used to if you get married and change my name. It didn't take me long to get used tour though

Have you changed your name? If not say "no, it's Ms/Miss Noob" every time someone gets it wrong. If you did change name then you'll just have to spend some time getting used to it :)

I love being Ms Surname and use it frequently in formal comms. I dislike first names in situations where I don't know the person (sadly the norm now, but I don't see why... Obviously it's generally a marketing technique to create a false sense of intimacy/trust..) I kept my surname so I've been Ms Surname as often as I could since I left school. I feel it is more dignified and have always strongly rejected society's assumption that everyone deserves to know my marital status.

Have been married for years! Just feels odd. Didn't intent to change my name but work kindly did it for me and I didnt feel very strongly either way so left it. I dont mind the name as such just makes me feel too grown up/old. Maybe its just a midlife crisis ?!

Mrs is awful. I would be fairly happy to take my dps name but there is no way in hell I will ever be "Mrs".

I get the creeps when my brother's wife is referred to as Mrs Boots. Even my mum didn't want to be that, she's just Firstname Herownsurname.

The Quakers don't do titles at all - I think they are on to something.
