My sisters are planning significant party for dad, Dh put on 3 day week so money tight what was planned would cost us €200+ I made a different suggestion last night and no one was interested, one of my sisters said today ok then ur out in fairness I said it myself cos I wouldn't be able to afford it now other family members can't make it so now they are thinking of doing something else one sil said it was my way or no way I have never said that and am hurt she thinks this way. I really want to celebrate with my family but feel very upset now.

Please don't cry. Perhaps others couldn't really afford it and didn't like to say. Then when you did they felt ok doing the same.

You havent done anything wrong, you cant afford it and that can be upsetting and stressful.

Speak to your dad, even if it's supposed to be a surprise I'm sure he'd be devastated if you weren't there at his party. It's not fair on you, you're sister is completely unreasonable.

Bluebell I already told theme I couldn't afford It Dad doesn't want a party he has my mams heart broke saying tell them I don't want party.We just want to mark the occasion anyway I had a big falling out with them in a group chat tonight we are a close family I am devastated.
