"In a new report released Thursday, Trump said male staffers are to wear ties and women must “dress like women,” unnamed sources told Axios

A bit like Paul Dacre.

I've just thought of a new way to freak out Trump supporters. Agree with them completely and explicitly.

Yes, it's nice to see a man of his word. Who believes God put him in charge of America. Who wants to see his opponent jailed. The press shut down. Intellectuals lose funding. Who has a far right supremacist as his chief strategist. Who believes that people are lying to him. Who tweets out his real thoughts about world politicians. It's great to see a man of his word and who takes action now without delay and to hell with the consequences. I like that. God must like that as well.

That might just get some Trump supporters thinking. Or not.

Completely agree with them and go over the top with all the more controversial things he's said.

Senor trump adviser blames Muslims for terrorist attack that never happened ...really?

Trump was told by a minister that he couldn't campaign while attending a service in which he spoke to the congregation.

I bet he didn't like it and it has been a target ever since.
Why can't Trump campaign during church services? WRONG!

amispartacus · 03/02/2017 08:05

In fact, you could probably modify one of Hitler's speeches, replace a few words -Germany with America - and then use that to a Trump supporter and watch them agree with every word....

Morning all, I've even ended up forsaking forecasting time for these threads, so huge apologies to those of you in the south who find you are missing trampolines come this evening.

OYBBK Shock This really brings home the gravity of the situation.

toomuchtooold · 03/02/2017 08:42

amispartacus here's Hitler's 1933 speech from, I believe, the point that they dissolved the parliament. If you replace communists with liberals I think Trump could probably use it without too many changes. To be honest I think any despot could use his speeches because they're just the same sort of Trumplike word salad of "we're going to make it all good! We're so great! You've had it shit! That's not fair!" - they never actually come out and name their nefarious plans, because like all NPD sufferers (I believe the ones that aren't actual psychopaths are all NPD) they are devoted to believing they're really, really good people. Better than the rest of us anyway.
The only issue with the speech is maybe that when Hitler said that the standard of living of the German people got worse between the end of WW1 and 1933, he was probably actually correct, whereas I suspect it's not true in the US in the last 25 years. But that's OK, it doesn't matter if it's true, it just matters if it feels good to people to believe it's true.

So back to that State visit to The U.K. . I have had a brilliant bigly idea , a great one , juge , in fact.
So when he arrives and travels in the golden coach for the first time . Some one tells him that the Queen will be along in a minute because she's gone for a wee and then once he is in the FAKE gold is whipped off and in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang style , the mobile cage races off to the Tower of London to encapsulate him.

I thought Corbyn might make a great stand in for the child - catcher because he has the same nose or maybe Prince Charles ( similar ears)

So what would be the best way to entice him in a promise of juge ratings or bigly blackcurrant lollipops ?

Some call centre guy Neville Walsh just said on R4 Today programme that he thinks Trump is great, he's done everything he said he would, great to have a business man in charge not a politician... Shock

Get some more Democrats in it's a modest comparison, but in Britain, in unlikeliest of places : Sunderland, and Rotherham yesterday, the Liberal democrats are getting big victories over UKIP in by elections, in places that never ever voted lib dem. (I'm labour)

Roussette · 03/02/2017 09:04

2bees a beautiful plan!

Destiny I am just LOVING that twitter feed. Can't they get anything right? Keep calling them out on it people.
Trouble is there are his fans out there who will believe it.

woman12345 · 03/02/2017 09:06

Roussette · 03/02/2017 09:08

illegitimate I think I know who Neville Walsh could be... he had that call centre programme on BBC2... but he was Neville Wiltshire.

If it's him I am so disappointed, I thought he had more about him than that.

Weedsnseeds1 · 03/02/2017 09:15

Country beginning with B? I'm going Borneo. OK I know it's not a country, but a) Trump probably doesn't and b) it does have quite a few Muslims.
Or maybe Bahrain or Brunei?

Destinysdaughter · 03/02/2017 09:19

Oh wow, Trump is to hard to satirize as he's already beyond parody!
