This is big, but at the same time, precarious. Yates is only in office until/if Jeff Sessions is approved by Congress to take over. The moment he takes over, he will enforce it utterly. Democrats are trying to delay Sessions being appointed. If Sessions doesn't get through, you can bet Trump will choose someone else that will do what he wants. And that's three out of three branches under his thumb, and we are officially fucked.

That little word "another" is key. He doesn't actually say the attacker was not a Muslim immigrant, he says "another" in an attempt to lead an uninformed listener into assuming that.

Facts are so important. And getting the truth of the facts.

It's so important to know where people are getting their facts from - and then use your knowledge to challenge those facts.

I keep wanting to make a thread saying, "As an American, AIBU to apologize to you all for Trump?"

I never thought I could be this aghast, this embarrassed, by a US president. I never thought I'd really see this sort of shit happening. I thought if he actually got elected, he'd show his true colors by caving and crumbling on things.

I'd hoped.

It's going to be a very, very long, tough four years. I'm so sorry the rest of the world will have to deal with some of what he does, too.
