To ask how often you replace your clothes?

Might seem like an odd question, but I feel like all of my clothes are worn out and old and horrible. But I don't really enjoy spending money on clothes, and I don't have a massive budget so I only really buy cheap things which then wash horribly and get worn out quickly and then I'm back at square one. Seems to be the case more with undies and bras etc which look new for about 5 mins before going all threadbare. I only wash on cold and try to look after stuff but to no avail.

How often do you buy new clothes out of necessity (rather than for new fashions etc)? And how often do you end up chucking stuff in the recycling cos it's so crap the charity shops wouldn't want it?

I always buy decent quality, not really high end but not primark either. Stuff like New Look, Next/Choice, H&M sometimes. Asda is surprisingly good quality for the price. Stuff doesn't need to be expensive to be decent. Then I replace it when I can't keep the repairs invisible anymore. Jeans I wear through fairly quickly in about 4 months as I am quite heavy in the thigh area and they tend to wear there. Perhaps if I got good jeans they might last longer but I refuse to spend more than £20 on jeans that end up worn to holes so Asda it is.

Shirts end up stitched at least once, same with leggings as long as I can do it without it showing but I'm pretty good at invisible stitching so a few years. I think I have maybe 3 tops I bought in the last year. Bra's I just replace when they start sagging and don't support me any longer.

i replace clothes if they are shabby or if they don't suit me anymore.
I give them away or send them to the charity shop or the recycling.
i never put them in the bin, because they can mostly be recycled.
