Hello everyone,

I am currently on the lookout to expand/ change my current makeup routine and was wondering what products you wear on a daily basis?

I use:

Max Factor Primer
Dior Forever Foundation (wouldn't recommend given the price and the outcome)
Revlon Concealer
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder (not too keen)
Benefit Hoola Bronzer
Collection Eye Brow Kit
Rimmel Exaggerate Liquid Eyeliner (hate)
Benefit Cosmetics Bad Girl Lash Mascara (hate)
Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick

What does everyone else use (as you can see I'm not too keen on current products, so I'm interested to know what everyone else uses!) ?Smile

I like the Revolution Makeup from Superdrug. They have some good eye palettes and stuff (I'm 23 if that makes any difference). I have kinda dry skin. I only wear makeup at the weekends but I go all out. I use a beauty blender and the "toothbrush" style brushes for skin makeup.

I use the Rimmel red top foundation? I use this with a spray of setting spray and my beauty blender.
Revolution concealer palette. A kind of "stick thingy" for contouring and highlighting. I use a strobing cream on nose of cheekbones.
Various inexpensive eye palettes. I also use a brown palette as well, sometimes with a pencil as well.
Matte liquid lipstick - fave at the moment is "waffle cone" by beauty bakerie but it's not actually matte and is mor metallic.
Gel liner (rimmel or Maybelline)

I have begun using dry oil to hydrate my face.

Sugarlightly · 29/01/2017 22:26

Oh and I use the pink and green mascara, as well as the Clinique one. I find Iain get 2 different ones good but I've perfected my technique so would always recommend this

hoopdeloop · 29/01/2017 22:29

On a normal day, I would use moisturiser, then:
Primer-currently Rimmel but have tried others
Foundation- L'Oréal true match
Eyebrows- Bobbi brown pencil
Mascara- urban decay perversion then benefit curl one (can't remember the name)
Blusher/ I have a set with lots of different benefit ones so depends what takes my fancy that day
Concealer- used to be YSL but now a MAC studio fix one

I do love Bobbi Brown corrector for under eyes but it's so expensive that I only use it at weekends! I do have lots of other make up if I was going out that I play about with trytoavoidlookinglikeaclown

skincarejunkie · 29/01/2017 22:29

Mally Primer
Either Laura Geller B&B or Tarte Amazonian Clay full cover or both if I'm feeling glam!
Mally eye crayons. Pale one over, plum to line.
Bare Minerals mascara - gold tube
Either Benefit Hoola or LG cherry blush
Tarte lip crayon or Burt's Bees tinted balm
Occasionally Bare Minerals Pure Radiance highlighter.
Am over BM foundation. It finds every pore I have and makes it gape!

TripTrapTripTrapOverTheBridge · 29/01/2017 22:34

When I bother these days:

Clinique BB Cream
Collection Concealer on any dark circles!
Very light sweep of Benefit Big Beautiful Eyes
Natural Collection Brown Mascara
Light sweep of Benefit Dandelion or Rockateur

DollyDora · 29/01/2017 22:54

No7 stay perfect foundation and a No7 primer, Urban Decay Vice 4 i use "flame" the most, Benefit Roller lash mascara, Benefit Hervana blusher, Rimmel Gimme brow and either rimmel coral in gold lippie or bourjois rouge honey

DollyDora · 29/01/2017 22:59
  • Rimmel is brow this way. I also use soap and glory glow all out and peach party
WanderingTrolley1 · 29/01/2017 22:59

Face cream, mascara, a little blush and eyebrows.

BeastofCraggyIsland · 29/01/2017 23:07

Everyday make-up is...
Smashbox primer or sometimes MAC strobe cream
Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue which is a 'tinted hydrating gel cream' - lighter than foundation but evens my skin out and lasts well
Bare Minerals concealer
Bare Minerals mineral veil powder
MAC blusher
No.7 extreme length mascara (this varies, this is just the current one, I usually try a different one every time)
Aloe lip balm

If I'm going out I use the same base and add:
Highlighter (currently got a MAC one which is good and have also used Benefit watt's up and NARS multiple and illuminator)
Rimmel eyeliner (grey one, no idea what it's called but used it for years and it's cheap and effective)
Urban Decay eyeshadow palette (present from a make-up loving friend)
Benefit They're Real mascara
Clinique air kiss lip gloss (very subtle, it's almost clear)

I don't wear lipstick ever, it just doesn't suit me but I have big eyes and really long eyelashes so if I'm going for a stronger look I play up my eye make-up.

wonderlustt · 29/01/2017 23:09

Join the Facebook page mrsglossandthegoss these women are makeup ninjas. All ages, it's fun and positive. I found out how to do my eyebrows properly. And now know what 'dupes' are.

altiara · 30/01/2017 00:30

Mascara- I use Clinique primer (white)
Then Lancôme hypnose (for work) or Lancôme Hypnose drama or babydoll (?) for going out.
Using the primer and the drama makes them look a bit like falsies (until you actually see what false eyelashes look like! If you know what I mean!)

Clinique - under eyes stuff to cover up bags
Clinique - foundation (superwear?)
Clarins blusher
Clinique lipstick in a long slim silver case
Eyeshadow - claims set or have Lancôme mini freebie that I use

altiara · 30/01/2017 00:30

And Lancôme pencil eyeliner

RhodaBorrocks · 30/01/2017 00:59

Every day:

Nyx Powder Foundation
Soap and Glory Kick Ass Concealer
Make Up Revolution Ultra Sculpt and Contour (Blusher, bronzer and highlight palette)
Bobbi Brown Eye Palette
Benefit Gimme Brow
Benefit Roller Lash or They're Real
I usually use gloss sticks on my lips - Bourjois, Revlon and Soap and Glory are my faves.

Going out (or on stage):

MUA Primer
Gosh BB cream mixed with Soap and Glory Hocus Focus
MUA Concealer palette
Sleek Cream Contour Kit
MUA Skin Define Matte Perfect loose powder
No 7 Pop and Glow Duo blush and shimmer stuck
No 7 Instant Radiance Highlight Stick or Benefit Watts Up
Soap and Glory Wonderbronze
Make Up Revolution Eye Palette
Benefit Gimme Brow
Benefit Roller Lash or They're Real
Soap and Glory SuperCat Fat eyeliner
Make Up Revolution Pro Fix spray
Lips may be heavier if on stage but I prefer to stick to the gloss sticks. I have recently tried NYX matte lip cream but not impressed.
