To ask what makeup you wear?

Hello everyone,

I am currently on the lookout to expand/ change my current makeup routine and was wondering what products you wear on a daily basis?

I use:

Max Factor Primer
Dior Forever Foundation (wouldn't recommend given the price and the outcome)
Revlon Concealer
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder (not too keen)
Benefit Hoola Bronzer
Collection Eye Brow Kit
Rimmel Exaggerate Liquid Eyeliner (hate)
Benefit Cosmetics Bad Girl Lash Mascara (hate)
Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick

What does everyone else use (as you can see I'm not too keen on current products, so I'm interested to know what everyone else uses!) ?

Elemental Beauty custom blend foundation mixed with Astral face cream
Elemental Beauty eyeshadows in brown
Urban Decay "Naked" high lighters
Benefit Brow Zinger 4
Rimmel lipstick Heather Shimmer
Clinique brown eye liner

Regular everyday work look would involve..

No 7 mineral powder foundation
Clinique blush
Clinique or MAC eyeshadow (depending on colour scheme for the day)
Clinique eyeliner
No 7 mascara

I vary eye colour (browns, lilacs or greys) depending on what I am wearing.

I always wear makeup for work but otherwise I tend to be barefaced. I am genetically blessed with clear skin so don't need to "cover" anything up.

Bobbi Brown creamy concealer and powder duo
Nars brow pencil
Nars multiple highlighter stick (copacobana)

Bourjois waterproof mascara

If I'm going out I add eyeshadow from the Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics matte eyeshadow palette or the UD Naked palette and Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner. I've not worn lipstick for years and want to get back in the habit of wearing that next but my lips are rather dry and flaky at the moment.

I use

Tropic Skincare foundation (same sort of thing as Bare Minerals)

Tropic Skincare eyebrow powder

Any old brand of black mascara (after using eyelash curlers - a must for me)

Dream Mousse blusher under my foundation, if I'm getting dressed up

Loreal eyeshadow in Burnt Bark. A fab rosy brown neutral colour.

Black liquid liner by Revlon, on nights out

I'm using a clinique primer, gorgio armani luminous foundation, not everyday though just usually wear an olay bb cream for everyday use cargo around the world eyeshadow pallet. Usually use the brown shadow out of it to fill in my eyebrows but if I'm doing fancy makeup I have an anastasia eyebrow gel. Soap and glory mascara for everyday use. Fancy mascara and liquid eyeliner is an urban decay prisicion carbon black one, there the best thing I've ever bought in my life! Also an ubran decay contour palate for fancy make up, a benefit lip stain and slay all day setting spray.
I also get one of those subscription boxs every month and get to try loads of amazing products from really good brands some are trail size and some are full size products. If you enjoy experimentin with makeup I would definitely recommend signing up to one.

Every mascara that every one has men on here I've tried and they always end up giving me black smudges under my eyes within an hour. Is it just me this happens too? The only ones that don't do it is the 2 I've mentioned

I used to use a few of the products you use , I went from Bad Gal mascara to Dior Show to now using a Mac one which is cheaper , same bumble bee brush and contains more !
Used to use a lot of Dior & Benefit . I now use everything Mac (studio fix foundation, concealer & powder ) bronzer, highlighter lipsticks etc . Only non Mac product I really use is Lancôme Touché Eclait which really brightens under my eyes I love it 😍

funnyfarmer I read, on here I think, that to prevent mascara smudging you need to (lightly) powder the under eye area after applying concealer/foundation as it's the oil in it that makes the mascara smudge. It seems to work for me. I also use a waterproof mascara to be extra safe from smudges

For everyday I wear:

Seefeld. Thankyou😊 I'll give it a try. I've so many mascaras I've used just once, and make my lashes look fab but end up smudging so there just shoved in a draw going to waste

Mother I've bought a few bits on visits to the states but in desperate times I've bought it from net-a-porter! (Jut have to pay silly postage) A great alternative (just as good) is the Giorgio Armani brow maestro which is available in bigger house of frasers/ John Lewis / selfridges etc etc. Happy hunting
