Any CBP official defying court orders should be held in contempt of court as should any one from Executive branch who directed CBP to do so.

GingerIvy · 29/01/2017 19:17

Sorry, but had to laugh at this. It's like a running gag, isn't it?

1 week in, more people at Trump protests and marches against him than at his inauguration. When it comes to size, he always loses.

Protest crowds in NYC are so big people can't even get out of the subway station. Line at Whitehall stop to exit:

lazarusb · 29/01/2017 19:20

I am more than happy to take a stand against him and his actions. What I am really concerned about is the apparent passivity of the UK government who should be loudly stating how abhorrent and acceptable this situation is.
A few half-hearted comments from Theresa May and Boris Johnson are no way near enough. This is happening NOW. People are experiencing fear and uncertainty NOW. The government needs to find its voice urgently.

Believing he is above the law is deeply frightening. I hope the US judiciary stand firm.

I'm never sure if the comments BTL are real or fifth column designed to make people look awful.

Here's one comment:

""Here's how we win, we know the media war is coming so Trump can take the first strike, even though he is more of a counter puncher. If he wants to counter punch, we know there will be fake news every single week. Trump can put a stop to it once and for all, and announce a nationwide boycott of all fake media. Attack CNN, MSNBC ABC News and the rest all at once.

yes it is controversial, but not really. This is our country and why just let the left dominated media spew out lies, fake news and anti-Trump garbage.""

Any bets on what will happen this week? He wants to wipe out ISIS. Well, we know where they are. Just send in the US army. If a job's worth doing..

borntobequiet · 29/01/2017 19:35

How is he trying to distract us?
Well while everyone is focused on protest in the US, what's to prevent the C-in-C authorising action in Iraq?
He's already had a go in Yemen. The military are optional in the Security Council. He's spoken on Iraqui oil already.
Why not? Zap Isis in Iraq, hand Syria to Putin, ignore Turkey (having led it down the garden path), divvy up the Middle East between Russia and the US.
Oh, and nuke those pesky Iranians.

The White House says having Steve Bannon at national security meetings is essential to Trump's decision-making.

Fuck knows why. Unless it's actually Bannon making the decisions. (which many suspect)
