Re: Obama policy, that was one country as a result of a particular incident - and it's debatable whether that was effective.

This is 7 countries for no particular reason and is a ban on people who already have visas.

What on earth are they going to learn in 90 days that they don't know now????

ami Actually I'm pretty sure I just read something that said that Obama let in something like 32K Christian refugees each year, compared to Bush that let in 22K. Too many tabs, not sure if I can find it again.

How moving. Senate Democratic leader Schumer gives press conference and has to hold back the tears about the ban. He says it's a shambles and all the departments who were meant to enforce this didn't even know about it.

Breaking: NY Attorney General will be formally asking DHS for names of any detained at JFK, I'm told

I'm struggling to keep up with the pace of these threads, but a US govt statement was linked to on the last one which referred to 325,000 international arrivals into the US a day and only 1% being affected by the ban. That's 3,250 people. Even if some are let through after more detailed questioning, where the hell are they going to put them all?
