Don't get me wrong, Morgan is an utter twunt and his rant about the Woman's March was vile... BUT, McGregor wasn't taking such a principled stance when he was working with/singing the praises of the man who raped and sodomised a child. He's a hypocrite.

Putting my tin hat on now! Confused

And whatever distasteful things Trump has done, they're tiny, tiny small fry compared to the things the left are not only prepared to turn a blind eye to, but actually celebrate those who have committed them.

Really? You do know Trump is accused of rape? And precisely what is that you suggest the entire "left" has been celebrating?

BillSykesDog · 25/01/2017 13:17

Sean Penn - Wife beater - democrat
David O Russell - groped his 19 year old niece and blamed her flirting - democrat

BillSykesDog · 25/01/2017 13:22

And please tell me how the left took action against Clinton when he was accused of rape by multiple people? Because I just remember them grumbling it was a put up job because of political opponents. Because, hey, misogyny is only misogyny if you're a Republican!

Next week's instalment: democrats raise vague doubts they can't back up that Trump was born in the US and claim that he might have been born in Scotland and had it covered up. Claim this makes him ineligible to be president. Can't understand why everyone's giving them the side eye.

LonnyVonnyWilsonFrickett · 25/01/2017 13:28

Hollywood isn't 'the left', it's Hollywood. A liberal elite who like the sound of their own voices just a little too much, imho.

Claiming that Polanski got a standing ovation in Hollywood means 'the left' love him is a bit of a jump, don't you think? I mean, I'm a leftie and I hate Polanski. I'm on Jolie's side and Amber Heard's too for that matter. Woody Allen makes my skin crawl. But still a leftie. I checked.

Megatherium · 25/01/2017 14:42

So, Bill, you can name three people you claim to be on the left wing who have been guilty of undesirable behaviour and that means every single leftwing person is condoning crimes worse than rape and sexual assault?

Trump admitted to repeated sexual assault. The fact that others accused Clinton of rape doesn't change or excuse that. Are you really happy with the fact that the President of the US has that on his track record? Is that really "tiny, tiny small fry"?

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 25/01/2017 14:50

You get arseholes from both sides of the political debate, we could throw up names and crimes all day long.

Mega why do I need to name three people? I only need to name one and that's Bill Clinton. But if you're going to push me for three then Hillary and JFK.

And leaving aside disapproval of Polanski and Allen, why aren't the left (and it is the left out on these marches) marching against Hillary and her victim blaming and support of a man who has been found guilty of several acts of sexual assault including rape in civil courts.

Yet if you are a Republican a tape which may be nothing more than exaggerating bragging means according to at least one left winger up there ^^ you have admitted to multiple sexual assaults. Which is basically because most left wingers are dangerous fucking totalitarians who judge guilt by politics and who aren't even prepared to allow their opponents the basic human right of the criminal justice system before declaring them guilty. And don't pretend that's not true because you just fucking did it.

And it's not just Hollywood. Have a look back at the McCarthyist era. Hollywood provides a high profile litmus test of the rest of the country. Back in the McCarthyist era no matter how talented you were if you had the wrong sort of politics you would be blackballed and never work again. And then, as now, Hollywood was a reflection of the rest of the country. There are many places and professions in the US where revealing you are not a Democrat can basically destroy your life.

And I wonder how many of the luvvies in Hollywood who will weep into their wheat germ green juices about the injustices of the McCarthy era will be willing to give Jon Voight a job?

Fucking hypocritical partisans the lot of them. The day there's a march against Hilary, her victim blaming, support of a rapist, corruption and pay to play pocket lining THEN I will take them seriously.

LonnyVonnyWilsonFrickett · 25/01/2017 15:38

OooooKaaaaaaay....Except it was the lefties who weren't allowed to work under McCarthyism.

CockacidalManiac · 25/01/2017 15:53

Fucking hell, what a loony.

derxa · 25/01/2017 15:54

OooooKaaaaaaay....Except it was the lefties who weren't allowed to work under McCarthyism. And now it's the opposite way round. Not that I care too much about the fate of rich Hollywood folk left or right.

CockacidalManiac · 25/01/2017 15:58

That's why Vince Vaughn, Stallone, Mel Gibson, Adam Sandler and Cint Eastwood aren't getting any work then?
Oh, wait. They are, though.

CockacidalManiac · 25/01/2017 15:59

But, by all means. Keep on with this 'liberal conspiracy' shite.

DalekBred · 25/01/2017 15:59

Im with Piers on this too.

AND I totally agree regarding the womans marches too- and Im a woman.

especially about limelight desperately seeking Madonna.

Megatherium · 25/01/2017 16:03

I didn't say you needed to, I said you had. But how interesting that you claim the entire left is guilty of this but struggle to name people.

Could the left (and indeed the right) not be marching against Hillary Clinton because, um, she's not President of the US?

Trump admitted on tape that he regularly uses his position to carry out sexual assaults on women, and he didn't deny it. You cannot whitewash that, Bill.

As for "most left wingerss are dangerous fucking totalitarians" - that is where you lost any contact with reality.

CockacidalManiac · 25/01/2017 16:09

Oh, I don't know. Now that Bill has seen right through me, I'm going to impose a Red Terror at home, and colllectivise the cat.
Damn you, Bill, and your incisive mad fuckwittery political sophistication.

derxa · 25/01/2017 16:12

You're right but I don't hear them making too many speeches apart from John Voight.

Megatherium · 25/01/2017 16:14

Cockacidal Grin

CockacidalManiac · 25/01/2017 16:15

They're all well know republicans though, just not quite mad enough to attach their flag to Trump. So how's it the 'opposite way around' to 50s McCarthyism? They're all working.

PickledCauliflower · 25/01/2017 16:19

Going back to McGregor, if he didn't think that fawning over a rapist would come back and bite him on the arse at some point - he must be very naive.

scampimom · 25/01/2017 16:19

I don't like paedophiles and I do like Corbyn, so I'm all confused as to who I should protest against. I quite fancy trying to collectivise the cats, but fear they would contribute very little. And I also worry about coming home to slogans painted a maximum of 1 yard up the wall about 4 legs good &c &c

scampimom · 25/01/2017 16:20

Death to all extremists!

Grin Be very afraid. The Cat Collective is waiting to pounce.

CockacidalManiac · 25/01/2017 16:59

Now, I don't like paedophiles or Corbyn. I've already got the cat working on a socialist realism mural in the kitchen, though. Unless he meets his Stakhanovite work quotas it's cat gulag for him.

CockacidalManiac · 25/01/2017 17:00

I've renamed him Chairman Miaow
