Just curious really....I am on another thread (under a different name) and enjoying the connections I am making there, I can quite imagine meeting up with these people in real life. Has anyone done this? And how did it go?

I'll start it in early February. Um, so that would be next week then Smile

The only real friends I have had in my entire life are people I met here Grin I would literally have had a breakdown without them - clever, funny, caring and amazing and even nicer in RL!

HalleLouja · 26/01/2017 19:18

001 I am near you. Am St Albans way.

Have met some runners from the running forum plus some lovelies from conception was there way too long and we are on a FB group together. Met some from antenatal thread too. In fact I met one in hospital but that's another story.

MrsEvadneCake · 26/01/2017 19:32

Livia! my love

LiviaDrusillaAugusta · 26/01/2017 19:38

😘😘😘😘

MrsEvadneCake · 26/01/2017 19:52

Can I just say that Livia is the nicest person we all know too and has been a rock to some us.

MixedUpConfusion · 26/01/2017 20:01

I did a few years ago but she didn't like me/we didn't click. With my, at times, crippling anxiety it did zero for my already low confidence and left me really upset

MrsLouisTomlinson · 26/01/2017 20:01

Yup. Today in fact!

BantyCustards · 26/01/2017 20:06

Yes - a few times. One mNetter in particular has become a good friend and her DC and my DC are close.

The way you have worded your question, op, makes me feel pretty sure you are a journalist or researcher looking for material.

flatwhite45 · 26/01/2017 21:52

Bibity, no not a researcher or journalist.....Sad

OhNoItIsntOhYesItIs · 26/01/2017 22:11

Think about what my username refers to, MrsCake

MrsEvadneCake · 26/01/2017 23:00

I did wonder ohno.

fourquenelles · 26/01/2017 23:21

I went to see the Red Hot Chilli Peppers with Finn who I met at the London meet ups. She stopped me storming the stage to snog Flea. Cah. No she's a hoot.

I have met up with a lovely group of women a few times. We were all on a miscarriage thread for ages and we're an absolute lifeline during those days. We had a few drunken nights out. Local ones came round with cake and wine following my third miscarriage Sad We are still in touch though children have happily come along so we have moved to a Fb group. I'd drop anything if one of them needed me!

i was also on super ovulation threads with fellow troopers and one MNer and I got BFPs on the same day. We then realised via the thread that we were booked into the Fetal Medicine centre on the same day for an early scan. We agreed to say hello beforehand -it was all a bit stressful- but to avoid each other after the scan in case things had gone wrong. Then we ran into each other again at the 12 week scan in hospital. We remained in touch via the thread until we had our precious babies a few days apart. Shortly after, I was at a breastfeeding clinic and she walked in! We finally realised we lived a few streets apart. We joined a group together and that group has been a solid friendship group ever since. Dc friends, etc.

LOVE my MN friends

Shakey15000 · 27/01/2017 07:04

Not from MN but I've met a few from Bounty before it went shit and debates rocked

One in particular I clicked with but now she lives t'other end of the country so not as easy to visit Sad

We spent a couple of very boozy, lunchy afternoons fighting over the ashtray Grin

She's a dhalink Grin
