Cemetery jogging

Is it acceptable to go jogging in a cemetery, or could it be considered disrespectful? Am thinking about trying a new route.

Assuming you're going to run on the path and not actually on the graves I can't see an issue

I hope not. I ran with a small running group through a churchyard twice today. It didn't seem disrespectful.

I don't think it's disrespectful, so long as you don't use the headstones as parkour training.

I run through a cemetery on one of my routes. I don't think it's a terrible faux pas? Plenty of dog walkers and schoolchildren seem to use the same route.

Well the inhabitants won't care! Seriously though I think its ok but maybe avoid if there are mourners (though it wouldnt bother me) certainly avoid if its a funeral.

No,, I don't think the deceased would have an issue .

I have family buried in cemeteries and personally wouldn't really mind or care to be honest if people wished to jog through on paths.

I think it depends on whether it's a churchyard or a stand alone cemetery. The second one I wouldn't tbh.

I don't have an issue with people taking a quiet stroll through a cemetery but I do think it's distasteful to go running through one and I think I'd raise an eyebrow if I was attending someone's graveside or a funeral (which there will be more of than your average churchyard) and someone bobbed past in their lycras and headphones.

It's up to you, but if you decide to give it a go I would try and be aware/take note of how you're received and be prepared to reconsider.
