It's in Bray - I'm guessing they are targeting short term lets for people visiting Heston's place and the other one in Bray that I've forgotten the name of.

Truly hideous property though.

Wolpertinger · 21/01/2017 13:43

Well it's clearly not a 3 bed cottage in the way most people would understand it - all the rooms are massive, all the bedrooms have massive en suites for starters. So cottage isn't really true eyes own 3 bed cottage with disappointment

And the text makes it clear it's marketed at people staying for a week and using the concierge service to go to all the Michelin starred restaurants in Bray.

So it's really a holiday let for the super-rich.

LeninaCrowne · 21/01/2017 13:44

How much??!

That's very pricey, even for a property being marketed by Hamptons. Hamptons always massively over price but this crazy!

Celaena · 21/01/2017 13:51

In case it's adjusted / removed for being an error

haveacupoftea · 21/01/2017 15:01

Hahahahaha my God

FuckOffDailyMailQuitQuotingMN · 21/01/2017 15:06

It's probably set up for corporate let.

It's absolutely hideous.

PerpendicularVincent · 21/01/2017 15:54

I like the ridiculous words on the wall

hungryhippo90 · 21/01/2017 15:59

Why such an expensive area?!

Allthebestnamesareused · 21/01/2017 16:44

Yes - if you look at that listing and some others in the same link they are all with Hamptons International Lettings.

There is of course Windsor, Eton and Dorney Reach (rowing) etc nearby so maybe it is because it is close to Eton entrance exams etc and perhaps international families want to stay at a typical English cottage when they are over etc.

There is obviously a market for them as there are a number.

TheSnowFairy · 21/01/2017 16:48

It's the second listing now, it's the one at over £37 thousand a month...

Bloody bonkers!!!Shock

Blossomdeary · 21/01/2017 17:47

I have just moved and the 3 bed cottage that we vacated is being let on a long let at £1200 pm. I am puzzled as to how anyone affords it, but that seems to be the market rate.

Wishforsnow · 21/01/2017 17:50

My mum lives in Bray and houses are no way near that much. A 3 bed rental would be about 2 or 3 k per month. Even if you did it weekly no way near that. It would be cheaper to stay at the Waterside in Bray.

TheSnowFairy · 21/01/2017 18:05

wish but that one is and there are others on the site also hugely expensive.

Or did you mean 'nowhere near worth that much'?

Pic as it's moved down the list:

Wishforsnow · 21/01/2017 18:10

Well they def aren't worth that much and one just a few doors down from that one rented out for just under 3k per month. I get that they are doing it as short lets do would get more. I'll get my DM to see how often they are occupied. She's a great curtain twitcherGrin

I8toys · 21/01/2017 18:26

Has it got a gold shitter?

FuckOffDailyMailQuitQuotingMN · 21/01/2017 19:01

Maybe it's a deliberate attempt to garner attention like eBay sellers who list their art/paintings at £100,000.

I am in Zone 2 London and there was a corporate let near us for £35,000per month. (It has sold now) It has separate staff accommodation and was a very tastefully decorated modernised larger home with an enormous basement of course.

I can't imagine that this a serious listing!

FuckOffDailyMailQuitQuotingMN · 21/01/2017 19:03

Is there an upcoming or annual event that could demand these prices?

(Like Wimbledon does)

Anonymous1112 · 21/01/2017 19:19

It's no penis beaker

Anonymous1112 · 22/01/2017 09:10
