That I've just managed to delete all my photos off my phone, despite having them moved onto an SD card? So months of photos of my little boy & worst of all, the 'bump' photos of my current pregnancy. All of them. I'm now 30 weeks & had been doing one a week just like last time.

I know I need to get over it - it's done but actually feel so upset.

Furious at myself SadSadSad

I'm not a tech but was your phone even partly backed up? Can it be undone?

Catzpyjamas · 19/01/2017 20:46

Google programs to "recover deleted photos from SD card"
You may be able to get them back. Don't save anything else on to the SD until you've tried.

Sassypants82 · 19/01/2017 20:46

I don't think so.. I've had a good look & seems like they're gone. Just so stupid!

Did you happen to have Google photos app on your phone? If so, that backs up your photos on to your Google account.

Catzpyjamas · 19/01/2017 20:48

All may not be lost.
Check CNet advice

LeopardPrintSocks1 · 19/01/2017 21:04

Did you delete them or.have they disappeared on their own?

Sassypants82 · 19/01/2017 21:09

I deleted them but thanks to you geniuses, I've managed to recover some! Thanks so much for your help, I never would have known about data recovery. I feel so much better & can see that some collages I made comparing my bump at various stages throughout both pregnancy have been saved which is great Smile

Lesson learned. I'll be backing up to my hard drive tomorrow.

Thanks again all!

My son accidentally deleted all his holiday pics on his camera, and after some googling I found a way to recover most of them. Glad you've had some luck with that too, OP!

Catzpyjamas · 19/01/2017 21:17

I'm glad you got at least some back Smile

chocolateworshipper · 19/01/2017 21:24

awwww, fantastic news that you've some back x

yaela123 · 20/01/2017 15:52

Im sorry I don't really have any advice but good luck! That's really upsetting and frustrating

girlelephant · 21/01/2017 06:51

Glad you managed to recover some!

Pettywoman · 21/01/2017 07:12

You need to set it to auto back up to the cloud. Mine backs up to my google plus account automatically.

abbrev · 21/01/2017 07:14

What method did you use? I bet more can be saved.

Stop using it straight away.

When you delete them using the normal method, you don't delete the files You just delete the index to them. Imagine you're getting rid of a telephone directory - the tel. numbers to call people still exist.

Oh piss off allen you spamming wanker.

Weedsnseeds1 · 24/01/2017 09:26

Do you have Onedrive or similar? I had a phone die on me a while ago but all photos, contacts etc. were recoverable from there.
