To break the 48 hour rule and send DD to school tomorrow?

DD (Year 5) was sent home on Wednesday after being sick once at lunch time. She said that she ate quite a lot for her school meal. She was absolutely fine after I took her home, and even managed to eat dinner. I kept her off today as I wasn't quite sure, but she has been fine all day and not thrown up since. She hasn't got a temperature and is begging to go to school tomorrow. Except that it wouldn't quite have been 48 hours. Should I do it?

I would do it and send her in if you are confident she isn't ill.

She might not even have had a bug, just something she ate that day disagreeing with her at that moment.

Under those circumstances I would find the 48 hour rule unnecessary and overkill.

I would if I was confident it wasn't a bug.
The slightest doubt, though, and I'd observe it.
