Jaw surgery

I need double jaw surgery due to an underbite and suffer badly with headaches which I think are linked. I've been referred to NHS for surgery to correct this but there is an 18 month wait for a consultation p. Can anyone recommend somewhere private?

I think you need to go back to your GP and ask for a referral to a local Maxillo-Facial surgeon. I had mine done on the NHS and yes, I had a wait about a year but in that time I also had tooth extractions and braces which would have delayed surgery anyway. Have you been told that you need orthodontic work as well as the surgery?

My best friend had this done, but like Sorrel, on the NHS, with braces etc, that as Sorrel says would delay surgery anyway. So it might well not be any faster privately.
