To report my neighbour because of their intruding cat!

Just gone in the kitchen to see paw marks all down my window, across the sides and up the stairs carpet! It regularly sits on my window ledge trying to get in and spreading mud all over my window, now it's gone and come in. What can I do about this? If anything.

We have a squirrel that sits on my windowsill and stares at me through the window each day when I am cooking. It tries to come in if I leave the window open so I don't leave it open. Simples.

hrfvenia · 19/01/2017 07:25

melj you have the exact twins of my cats!!

Deathraystare · 19/01/2017 07:46

Well this has certainly cheered me up this morning. I miss having cats as I am in local authority housing and cannot keep them.

I am quite amused about all these cats fouling other people's gardens. When we had cats the b'stards only used ours! So did visiting cats too....

The bit about paw print everywhere reminds me of when we had our house treated for -can't remember if it was dry rot or rising damp but we had it treated and had to walk on a plank in the breakfast roo whilst it dried. Of course the cats didn't and managed to fill the room with their paw prints all lover the place!

Deathraystare · 19/01/2017 07:47

*breakfast room, that is.

GeorgeTheHamster · 19/01/2017 07:53

You'll have to fit some kind of grille or netting over the window if you want to keep that particular one open. Also, get a super soaker for if you see the cat thinking about coming in. Or just kill it.

Mammylamb · 19/01/2017 07:58

My neighbours cat used to hand out in our shed. But one day we found a wasps nest and wanted to spray stuff to get rid of it. I asked the neighbour if he could keep the cat out of my shed. He looked at me like I was mad and went "yeah, I'll try" and then went back to his house to laugh at me with his wife

JustPoppingBy · 19/01/2017 08:03

I love and have cats but could you try one of those ultra high sound emitter Cat repellent 'pestbye' devices, they also do one with an added infra red water squirter too (we had one for foxes a while ago) about £15-20 I think.

IllBeAtTheBarIfYouNeedMe · 19/01/2017 08:30

My cat has decided I have the sexiest arms he's ever seen. I'm reporting him... to the vet to have his bits off.

Desolate 😂😂😂

StumblyMonkey · 19/01/2017 09:04

I'd like to report my cat to Desolate's dog for yoghurt theft. I think the evidence speaks for itself.

I'd like to report my neighbour's cat for looking at my dog funny, and for being excessively fluffy.

userformallyknownasuser1475360 · 19/01/2017 09:09

Silly people on here asking who you report cats to, have you never seen this man?

I'm baffled by reporting a stray cats owner!?
This has to be a wind up but a funny one at least.
In the spirit of things I would like to report my cat for stealing ds1's scotch pancake this morning, eating it in front of him which made him cry and then sicking it up all down my new carpet.
I do feel 999 may be a little rash, so perhaps logging it with 101 in the first instance?

IAmNotAUserNumber · 19/01/2017 09:37

I think you'd have more luck complaining about the barking dog. The HA will just laugh at a complaint against the cat. However if the dog is bothering you it's probably also bothering the cat, who is seeking sanctuary at yours - so if the dog could go, or at least quieten down, the cat may stop coming to yours.

VivienneWestwoodsKnickers · 19/01/2017 09:42

OP, scare the shit out of the cat every time you see it. It will soon stop coming back. Loud noises and water tend to do the trick.

I have a cat, she'd hate that.

KingLooieCatz · 19/01/2017 10:07

Our cat has "victim" all over her face. In two separate houses we have had regular visiting cats and miniKing did nothing.

The second visiting cat was her doppelganger as well. One morning I came down and said good morning to the cat in the lounge, as she sat on a cushion. Then she was also sitting in the dining room. I was so totally freaked out. Could not believe my eyes, thought I was going mad or in the matrix or something. I went back and forth looking at the cats sitting in different rooms, both looked totally at home, both looked like my cat, down to positioning of white markings. Took me ages to figure out which one to throw out. I still slightly wonder if there was a swap at some point as she is unfeasibly old (20 odd and in good shape).

Girlsinthegarden · 19/01/2017 10:27

I'd like to report my cat for shitting next to my head in bed this morning. Envy

I win.
