Copper coil and mooncup... Posting for traffic

Not quite AIBU! I would like to get copper coil, don't like hormonal contraception, don't quite trust condoms.... But finding out about mooncup has been amazing, really made a huge difference to my life... So my question, is the suction/ cup a problem for the coil? Could it dislodge? And how would I even know, I really do not want to get pregnant.

I've never had a problem with using a mooncup with a copper coil. I always break the suction before pulling the cup out anyway. Have had coil for a few years and a mooncup for at least 3.

Mine stayed in but I believe moved out of position. It had to be removed after I became pregnant as it increases the chances of ectopic pregnancy or miscarriage. The scan to have it removed showed that I was seven weeks pregnant! Saw her heartbeat and everything!

I have a copper coil and use a mooncup, mine has been in for 4 years and was still nicely in place at my last smear a few months ago.

I pulled out my first one using a mooncup. User error, the strings were long and they got in between the cup and vaginal wall. I knew it was dislodged from the pain!
Second one I have had the strings cut mega short and no problems

Ummmm what? This can happen? But I love my mooncup and my coil! I still get very light periods so I still use my cup.

It didn't even occur to ask about the mooncup when I was having it fitted!
