AIBU to expect a discussion with my inlaws to arange their impending visit(s).

They have an infuriating habit of announcing their arrrival without any consultation. We have busy lives and find their declarations tedious.

Yes, we could say no, but it's not that easy.

More detail needed really. If they're popping in for a cup of tea every couple of weeks or so then that's probably okay. If they're turning up with suitcases to stay for the weekend then that's probably not.

Your use of the word 'tedious' sounds as though you don't like them much tbh.
