...to ask you to reveal family scandals..?

I LOVE to hear those all-but-forgotten family secrets and scandals that make history come to life. In my own case, my DF's family in the 1920s consisted of the parents and 7 children - and "a nephew". The "nephew" was of course Grandad's love-child. Grandma was very forbearing. No-one seems to know what happened to him. Grandma's mother (then aged 30!) went riding with her fiance without a chaperone, a few days before the wedding. Her father refused to attend the wedding and insisted that she not wear white. Apparently she had scandalised the community and was a "wee hoor". That was 1890!
