Please can someone explain how it works with a parking??? Do I pay yearly parking or ?? Also if I have two cars !

If I lived in London I wouldn't bother having a car.

Thank you for your reply but unfortunately I have it and need it .

It depends on the borough. When I last checked, Wandsworth and Lewisham had some free parking available (the latter still does in part, I'm parked there right now!). Others, you apply for a residential parking permit which you pay for, and park on the street. Not sure of costs.

There will be a dozen different answers to this depending on where exactly in London you end up and what kind of property you rent.

In general, a flat in SW London is unlikely to come with private parking. It may be on a street where you need to buy a residents permit to park, but that won't guarantee a space when you need one. You may find you can only get a permit for one car per person, that certainly used to be the case in SW6/W6 when we lived there.

Thank you so much. Where is the best place to look for information? Thank you

If you rent a flat in a block it may well come with parking, probably not for 2 cars though.

The relevant council website will have some information - for example,

www.lbhf.gov.uk/parking/pay-and-display
