Zombie threads - WHY do people start them up?!

Recently there's been (it seems to me) a load of threads which are resurrected zombie threads.

How far back in the pages do you have to go to find a thread from 2009?

Even if one comes up via a search - why would you pick on up from (say) 2010 and post as if it is a current problem?

What kind of MNetter does this?! Grin

If you are one of those MNetters who does this. Why?!

Oh no. The word 'hysterical' has arrived. Seems to be the popular MN accusation lately. When people are just doing a bit of Hmm about stuff.

I wonder if anyone figured out the answer to this question?

Dare I say it...Zombie thread! Grin

Haha, this'll get knickers in a twist!! The answer is poor website design. Easy to miss the dates when googling topics, plus no verification on the site when answers are suddenly posted on threads that have been inactive for months. Don't blame the posters, blame the crappy website design!

I can't believe I just read 2 pages of this actual thread before I checked the posting dates...

shakingmyhead1 · 16/12/2017 05:44

i have gone and read a few old threads, there are so many that i want to post and ask how the op got on and if things have sorted themselves out, issues resolved, parking CF gone, NDN moved? etc etc but really have to stop myself!

whoareyoukidding · 16/12/2017 05:48

Mind you, I've been told off on other sites for innocently starting a thread with the cry 'this has been done!'

you just can't win. I like zombies.
