Have just gotten to the end of my favourite E Lauder concealer which they do not make anymore. Allergic to Touche Eclat. Does anyone know of a fab concealer that is easy to apply, lasts all day and doesn't 'sit' in wrinkles? If I don't find some soon I risk looking like an Alice Cooper-a-like forevermore....Grin

NYX is a really good one to try

muchovino · 15/01/2017 19:47

Bobbi Brown all the way! I use her corrector then creamy concealer, it has helped the saggy hollows under my eyes no end! Smile

Clarins is good
I recommend you avoid the nars one if you have dry skin. My skin isn't that dry but it is really awful. Good colours though.

Touché eclat is a highlighter not concealer
Best thing for dark circles that are purple toned is a corrector in a peachy tone, then a cream concealer over
Something like W7 dark circles corrector wand, or collection 2000 do one illuminating something or other! Both are peach/orange tones

the maybelline age rewind one is good, and not too expensive either at £7.99

mum2Bomg · 16/01/2017 00:23

The Charlotte Tilbury one is awesome

seasidesally · 16/01/2017 00:47

oh this is interesting as ive been meaning to buy an illuminator but really dont know much about them

after you have blended it do you put anything on top of it??

also if you buy an illuminator cream for your cheeks can you just finish with a flick of some bronzing pearls??

thanks

hollinhurst84 · 16/01/2017 01:03

So you can use a liquid illuminator/highlight in a few ways
Blend it on your cheekbones
Mix it with moisturiser or foundation or serum
I sometimes do a tiny dab under eyes before concealing

Powder illuminator/highlight
On cheekbones, brow bone, Cupid's bow

Blush or bronzer as normal

thanks

I have now tried Collection Lasting Perfection. It seems bit too light, thick and unnatural looking. The Charlotte Tilbury one mentioned, is that the Magic Eye Wand? I was thinking of trying that next.

Teaholic · 26/01/2017 08:27

Im going to buy the maybelline one today and will report back.

So hollinhurst, ive been putting highlighter under my eyes for years, doh. Would that have made my purple circles more noticeable?! Ha I dont help myself!!
Is the maybelline age rewind concealer at all peachy in tone?
I havent heard of the brand w7.
Can you recommend any other peach toned concealers for purple shadows.
i always thought under eye concealers should be really really pale.

StarkintheSouth · 26/01/2017 08:37

I use the Terry one which is expensive but lasts for ages and it's amazing
L'Oreal do a very good budget alternative however - it's called touch magique or something x

Teaholic · 26/01/2017 16:45

I bought the maybelline one and it has a sponge applicator. Not sure yet.
