None on the Wirral, thank goodness! Although I got caught in hail/sleet/snow at lunchtime over the Runcorn bridge and got completely spooked. I hate it Angry

WeAllHaveWings · 12/01/2017 19:42

West coast Scotland, we had about 5cm. Drive to work this morning was scary, snow and black ice. Council web site said some schools closed.

LadyGlitterSparklesSeriously · 12/01/2017 19:42

We had thundersnow! 2 inches of it. Southeast Kent.

Melting now though Sad

wifeyhun · 12/01/2017 19:42

Snowing a wee bit here in North Staffs.

Nothing spectacular though

TheNorthRemembers · 12/01/2017 19:47

No snow in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Doyouthinktheysaurus · 12/01/2017 19:47

No snow in my little bit of the West Sussex coast. Sleet and very wet snow for a while but now just very wet and windy out there.

We are at sea level, I think higher ground in Sussex has snow and parts of Brighton.

So pleased our boiler is fucked and we are relying on fan heaters and one convector heaterHmm

Nothing here in Yorkshire!

IthoughtATMwasacashpoint · 12/01/2017 19:55

It had been raining heavily here (Ringwood) it stopped about half an hour ago. Wind's getting up a bit and the temperature has dropped sharply, so here's hoping

JayDot500 · 12/01/2017 19:55

'Fat snow' in Essex earlier Smile

pigsDOfly · 12/01/2017 19:57

No snow here yet in my part of East Sussex, but it not supposed to come until around 10pm. We've had heavy, heavy rain all afternoon so I very much doubt anything would settle anyway.

Feel majorly cheated. I was getting all excited about having snow as it never seems to snow where I live. Last time I saw proper snow was when I was living in Brighton, my dog was less than a year old then and she's nearly six now.

TheBathroomSink · 12/01/2017 19:58

Also in North Staffs, we've got a bit of snow but it's freezing on the wet ground so tomorrow morning should be bundles of fun Hmm

MrsDoylesTeabags · 12/01/2017 20:08

Oh Bathroom don't say that. I'm North Staffs too Shock
Does anyone know what Tyne side is like? I'm supposed to be going to Newcastle this weekend

GilMartin · 12/01/2017 20:08

Visiting in laws in the south East from Scotland and the fuss they local news are making over a milemtrere of slush. Good to see Fred 'How' Dineage presenting their local news though.

MrsDoylesTeabags · 12/01/2017 20:09

Oops North just spotted your post, hope it stays that way

bellabelly · 12/01/2017 20:11

3 hours ago I thought we had no chance here (west Kent) but it's been snowing steadily from about 6pm!

P1nkP0ppy · 12/01/2017 20:11

No sign of snow or any likelihood either as it's still above freezing here in north Wiltshire.

TheNorthRemembers · 12/01/2017 20:13

MrsDoyle Really cold right in Newcastle, but no snow and the wind died down. (It is the coast, so it is always a bit windy.) The next end of the world (weatherwise) is forecast for 4pm on Friday when there will be flood or very high tide.
You'll be fine. People still do not wear coats and DS is expected to play in shorts in the outdoor football training.

isittheholidaysyet · 12/01/2017 20:14

Humberside: nothing. (Though those on the coast are gearing up for a tidal surge and possible flooding)

MothertotheLordsofmisrule · 12/01/2017 20:15

Snow in our part of Surrey

I had to go out to the shed for something and made a snow heart for DH whilst I was out there.

Then I realised how bastarding cold it is and started swearing about snow.Grin

ShelaghTurner · 12/01/2017 20:15

Pissing down all day here in Surrey so thought there was no chance of snow settling. I was wrong. Hoping school is closed tomorrow purely because it's on top of a bastard hill which will be like an ice rink.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 12/01/2017 20:15

Snow here in Kent. Our neighbour couldn't get home and ended up abandoning her car along with lots of others. DH went out to pick her and her kids up and nearly gave up as he was in danger of having to abandon too!

MrsDoylesTeabags · 12/01/2017 20:17

Thanks North I'm sure I'll stand out in my coat and boots Grin

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 12/01/2017 20:19

Not snowing at all here in West Wales, despite ridiculous excitement from kids and twats I grew up in Western Scotland so I'm over snow anyway...
