To not really find this very funny? (Facebook related)

Have name changed for this.

I have an acquaintance, a guy on FB, who today was tagged in a few photos uploaded by his partner.

The photos were of their DD's dolls all in sexual positions scattered around her doll house. Doggy style, reverse cowgirl (god knows how I know that), a guy doll receiving oral sex and a "helping hand", and a girl doll receiving oral sex from a soft toy dog. All of the female dolls were naked in said positions.

The dad had apparently done it when tidying up his DDs toys and judging from the Facebook post his partner found it hilarious, as did a lot of her friends who commented on the photos.

She wrote that her DD hadn't asked her what the dolls were doing but "laughed and pointed them out" to her mum. The DD is about 5 or 6.

I don't really find it funny at all and it would horrify me if my DD woke up and saw her dolls in that way, I know their minds are innocent but at that age they (should) know where their private parts are and hence where a doll's private parts are, and I would imagine seeing one of their dolls stark naked legs apart with a dog in between them would be a bit confusing??

Or am I just being a prude and overreacting ?

I think when kids are about it's not very funny.

Don't understand the catsbum faces about people doing it when the kids are in bed though Hmm

mumofthemonsters808 · 11/01/2017 18:37

If my OH did this I'd worry that he had too much time on his hands and I weren't giving him enough jobs to do. The time he'd taken pissing around in order to receive his "likes" could have been spent say hoovering up. But I'm a grumpy, miserable type of person, so its very unlikely he'd do this. Each to their own, I suppose.

DameDeDoubtance · 11/01/2017 18:38

He set his daughters dolls up in sexual positions and left them for her to find? That's sick! She is old enough for this to make an impression.

Aspiringcatlady · 11/01/2017 18:38

I don't really find that kind of thing funny (not my sense of humour) but if two adults find it funny then that's their choice. However, letting a child see that is highly inappropriate.

mumonahottinroof · 11/01/2017 18:38

I think it's pathetic. Dumb enough just messing around on home, but posting on FB. Yuk.

CommunionHelp · 11/01/2017 18:39

Nope, not funny and totally wrong to do it in front of young children.

Jackiebrambles · 11/01/2017 18:40

Yeah I don't find this funny to be honest. Especially leaving her to find them.

He sounds like a bell end.

butterfliesandzebras · 11/01/2017 18:40

As a bit of adult humour it's fine, but really not on to leave it for the kids to see (who do start to pick up on adult reactions long before they understand 'why').

ScruffyTheJanitor · 11/01/2017 18:41

Weird and odd to sexualize children's toys IMO.

What's wrong with reorganising them all to have tea parties so that DD can find them? Or rearrange them all so that one is reading a story and the others are listening?

dawnc27 · 11/01/2017 18:41

as i said, my kids dont see it. also for anyone whos not on my fb my prof pic is just the silhouette face and only visable to friends. i also dont accept kids on it as i am not that much of an idiot.....

i am also not that judgemental that i resort to calling other names just because i dont agree with their opinions

hoddtastic · 11/01/2017 18:48

What ali partout posted. it's all about likes on FB.

Very immature and not funny. I realise this is just my opinion of course, and some people find this kind of puerile humour funny. But my bias aside, leaving it for their daughter to see, is such a twattish thing to do.

What a loser.

ReasonsToBeModeratelyHappy · 11/01/2017 18:53

SnatchedPencil - putting stuff on a website (which small children are not very likely to inspect), is really not the same as setting it up with your little girls toys, for her to puzzle over tho, surely?

randomeragain · 11/01/2017 18:58

boudaries. no its wrong

Flippingecktucker · 11/01/2017 18:58

Leaving the dolls for the daughter to find like that isn't just pathetic, it's very creepy. Why does he want his daughter seeing stuff like that? It's a bit sinister, I think.

BakeOffBiscuits · 11/01/2017 19:01

So they let their 5 year old see this?

I wonder what would happen if the school knew about it?

user892 · 11/01/2017 19:05

If someone babysat a 5/6 year old and did the same, it'd be a bit groomy Confused

piglover · 11/01/2017 19:08

We have two huge stuffed hippos who have an, er, colourful sex life courtesy of myself and my partner and it really is quite funny. But we have no children and I'd be mortified if a child saw them in action.

randomeragain · 11/01/2017 19:20

totally wrong wrong

SuperTrumper · 11/01/2017 19:24

I'm not a prude then. God knows what's wrong with the 50 or so people who've liked it.

I would post pics like Soubrequet has but imo they're too graphic!!

Princesspink999 · 11/01/2017 19:38

I don't really think it's funny at all just. Stupid and inappropriate.

PurpleNurple69 · 11/01/2017 19:41

I'm the first in our group / office / night out to start the smutty jokes/innuendos/inappropriate conversations but nope, that's beyond awful. Anything involving kids toys (not because they're toys but because they belong to kids FGS!) is totally inappropriate.

anothermalteserplease · 11/01/2017 19:43

I wouldn't find that funny. It's totally inappropriate to leave it for their daughter to find.

user892 · 11/01/2017 19:44

I know it's dolls and it was probably done without sinister intent, but it feels like some sort of horrible gateway porn :(

Also feel uncomfortable by the parents laughing AT the innocence of a child :(
