I've never had a wax down there ( I think I'd be totally mortified) but like to keep the undercarriage smooth. The flipping hair grows back so quickly though! Anyone have any tips for keeping things spick and span without a contorted shaving session every morning?

Thanks in advance Grin

I have a big bush at the moment

MollyHuaCha · 10/01/2017 22:37

I once read that a gynaecologist can tell who has hair and who doesn't before any examination actually takes place: under 30 = none! Over 40: none removed! The 30-somethings are the mysterious ones that can surprise.

butteroneverything · 10/01/2017 22:39

Notso - that is the funniest thing I have ever read on here. DH looking at me saying "don't wake the children" as I scream with laughter!

I do not so regular trimming with bikini trimmer thing, plus occasional pre holiday waxes or veet.

ClaryIsTheBest · 10/01/2017 22:43

molly

I'm under 30. And I'm hairy ;)

Partially. It's trimmed and waxed around the edges.

RubbishMantra · 10/01/2017 22:47

I don't! Nobody sees it anymore. Grin

I used to have a small landing strip, maintained with an epilator between waxes. In fact, if you just get the first hair removal waxed off by a professional, a buzz with a good quality epilator once a week maintains it. And the more you do it, the easier it's pulled out - weakened hair follicles. Then aloe vera gel or something like Tend Skin afterwards.

Just be careful to keep your squishy bits out of the way. Ouch! Oh, and in-growing hairs are a bastard. Vigilant yet careful exfoliation helps with that But so, so satisfying when you pick out a 2 inch long cork-screw hair that's been lurking under the skin. Grin

My husband does mine with his beard trimmer! Blush

He enjoys it, styles it how he wants and I just lay back and chill!! Win win!

Ohyesiam · 10/01/2017 22:56

I love mine to much to want to change it.

MrsAHotch · 10/01/2017 22:56

I do sweet FA now apart from the odd trim to stop spider legs peeping out of my knickers.

I tried shaving and the regrowth and itching drove me to despair. I got a wax once just before I got married - planned wearing a bikini on honeymoon. So, I went along thinking to just get rid of the necessary and leave the rest trimmed and tidy. I explained that I'd never had a wax before and the poor woman said "OK MrsA, we'll need to do a bit of pruning before we get to the wax" Blush. She then asked if I would like "a bit more off the top? Just to make sure you're not peeping out?".

Such is the curse of having a minge with the kind of fullness that only backcombing would normally offer Hmm

Thinkmummy · 10/01/2017 22:57

Am I the only one that plucks the hair out with tweezers? Takes about an hour every two weeks, slight regrowth starts by then but unless he's looking closely its not noticeable as grows out smooth, the flashlight app on my phone and a mirror are essentials, then quick exfoliation with st Ives to prevent ingrown hairs a trim with a beard trimmer for the triangle that's left and moisturiser to the outside parts ,lovely and smooth Smile

fairiedemon · 10/01/2017 22:58

Pink my husband does the same! Would do it myself but he won't let me touch his precious tools (plus he secretly loves it).

Pinkgeek · 10/01/2017 23:00

So glad I'm not alone fairie! Aren't our dh's lucky?! Grin

BreconBeBuggered · 10/01/2017 23:17

Never so much as flicked at my bush in anger. It behaves correspondingly well, and gives my minge a flattering soft-focus blur, without daring to stray outside of my pants or swimming costume. I assume they drop out discreetly at a certain length, as they've had over 30 years to grow without tripping me up yet. Blonde, so hard to spot in the bath.

roseteapot101 · 10/01/2017 23:23

i learnt how to shave blind whilst squatting when you have had enough practice it only takes a few swipes before your done .I just shave every few days so not a problem

Isyss · 10/01/2017 23:49

im getting laser im tired of shaving

123fushia · 10/01/2017 23:56

After being shaved for a Caesarian 15 years ago, mine has never grown back. Is this normal?

mynachos · 11/01/2017 01:43

i veet mine! but be careful and dont leave it on for longer than 10minutes or or you'll have a burnt kebab!

Landrygrasshead · 11/01/2017 02:30

I use a beard trimmer every so often, but I'm quite lazy when it comes to body hair though, from the stomach down I sometimes resemble a yeti !

LordBuckley · 11/01/2017 02:32

I just wash mine.

I can't understand why women go for the prepubescent look nowadays.

Ice3 · 11/01/2017 02:32

I epilate and trim.

smurfit · 11/01/2017 03:03

I used to wax and tried shaving for a while but I get awful ingrown hairs that are painful and get infected.

I recently got IPL done which has been fab. I have a few blonde hairs which it's not ideal for so I just shave them when I feel like it. With much less hair, my ingrown hair problem seems to have disappeared.

It's just as inelegant as going in to get waxed and I'd say the pain is comparable but it's very individual as skin tone and hair colour influence pain levels and success rates. Also got my underarms done. Was fab.

Sikkinis · 11/01/2017 03:32

Shave every three days, takes no time at all

All off, would love a landing strip but my hair is irritatingly sparse so never works for me.

SallyVating · 11/01/2017 03:40

I'm too chicken for wax but I have a cream called magic something intended for afro beards that works a treat. It's about £3 in the chemist or on amazon. There's a red tube and a blue tube. I find the red one wayyy more effective. I'll get the name of it tomorrow cos I'm too lazy to move now

User1234567891011 · 11/01/2017 04:01

How do you shave the bit in the middle where the outer labia meet and its like and n shape IYKWIM. Lots of hair there (its like the source!) but no way to sort of shave it due to the shape, plus it gets very very sore.

876TaylorMade · 11/01/2017 04:03

I second the beard trimmer...

lovely way to keep it nice and low, like a hedge.

JungleInTheRumble · 11/01/2017 04:16

I've been getting it waxed ever couple of months for years and it still grows back as thick and strong as ever!

I used to shave but the regrowth and the actual act of shaving every couple of days was so unpleasant for me that I decided the pain of waxing was worth it.

I'd consider permanent solutions but what if in the future I fancied a luxuriant bush and that option was no longer there...
