even though I'm not the OP?

We can't leave it there!

OP posts:
JustCallMeKate · 10/01/2017 21:04

Salem the OP was being ripped to shreds on Horse and Hound (she had posted the same thread over there) by someone called Sidesaddle. She thought earlier that poster was on here under a different name, she's obviously not even a member judging by the post above she made on Horse and Hound.

DanglyEarOrnaments · 10/01/2017 21:04

I remember the phantom kipper across the way Namejust.

Can't remember the outcome though.

Manumission · 10/01/2017 21:05

I've never ever seen a thread about a woman in a lift Sad

I wonder if I could make an anecdote happen to me in an elevator?

IvorHughJarrs · 10/01/2017 21:06

What a palaver for you birdlady, I'd have been furious. I'm amazed at sanctimonious posters who think that being elderly and having carers visiting allows people to be so entitled and rude.

The suspiciousness on MN has been caused by too many trolls over the years but the painful attempts at trollhunting without crossing the guidelines does become really boring and tiresome on threads like this

HappyFlappy · 10/01/2017 21:06

Dogs and matching horse . . .

Envy
QueenMortificado · 10/01/2017 21:06

Manumission the one where the woman in the car's husband was having an affair with someone on her street?

Chippednailvarnishing · 10/01/2017 21:06

Ahhhh Liftzilla.
It was MN's very own soap opera.

I'm quite happy to be a bint on the internet, it's not like I can claim any sense of superiority spending my day watch a thread about parking Grin

Manumission · 10/01/2017 21:07

That's the one queen

Tapandgo · 10/01/2017 21:07

Who or what is sidesaddle and what have they done? ( not horsey type, so totally lost)

QueenMortificado · 10/01/2017 21:07

Yeah that was a bittersweet ending, the woman in the car was desperate and unhappy and the OP took her tea in the end and comforted her when she was in tears. I think.

AcrossthePond55 · 10/01/2017 21:08

So far I've been Smile Hmm Confused Shock at the 'Tale of the Phantom Parker'.

Now I'm just Grin

Manumission · 10/01/2017 21:08

Yes she was really kind to her. After being so unnerved. and all our batshit theories

Tapandgo · 10/01/2017 21:09

And while we are on mystery solving - any idea what happened to the person who had her gateway pillar knocked down by her neighbour with an elaborate one put in its place (and claimed by neighbour) without permission.

Maudlinmaud · 10/01/2017 21:10

Can I just ask how the jeffing hell did you fill up the last thread so quickly? I missed it all again Confused

8misskitty8 · 10/01/2017 21:11

We never did get to see a photo of the penguin bollards in situ did we ?

Mrsdaviduruso were are you ??? Lol.

QueenMortificado · 10/01/2017 21:11

Yep yep. I'm gonna get thinking about some drama that could happen in a lift. Look out for an overly elaborate thread about it soon.

Manumission · 10/01/2017 21:12

Oh good. Will do Wink

PavlovianLunge · 10/01/2017 21:16

I got trapped in a lift with someone I didn't like on my last day in a job. But those lifts were bastards, I should have expected it.

PavlovianLunge · 10/01/2017 21:17

(I am not liftzilla.)

YouTheCat · 10/01/2017 21:17

Are you feeling better, bird?

OutnumberedbyFurchesters · 10/01/2017 21:18

Tap

I want to know what happened there too... forgot the username of the OP so never found it again :(

newnannan · 10/01/2017 21:18

having read both mammoth threads and this tread i would love to know if the caroline that a neighbour knows off is actually the one thats been using the drive. I dont think it's fair that she gets away with just moving her car and disappearing into the ether at least the carers had some justification for been there, not just trying to avoid paying out 40 for a permit.

CherryChasingDotMuncher · 10/01/2017 21:19

Wasn't there some famous fashion designer who refused to share lifts with the plebs that worked for her?

sobeyondthehills · 10/01/2017 21:19

On a side note, we have lots of parking dramas where I live, so far the best one has been, a gentleman parked in a permit holder space with a note that said visiting (my house number) will be 5 minutes.

I put a note on his car saying, no you are not and you would still need a permit.

Joys of living near a hospital

winefortea · 10/01/2017 21:21

'One of the other neighbours in the past rented out their drive on park at my house or whatever it's called now. Maybe that's where he got the idea'

ooh! I wonder if that's what Nicholarse is doing? Maybe he's renting out your drive OP!
