Than a baby fresh out the bath?
I can't stop sniffing 5 month old ds....

Last week on the train, I sat next to a gorgeous looking man and he smelt divine. I really wanted to know what perfume he was wearing but didn't have the courage to ask (also didn't want to come across as a weirdo). Anyway, I sat next to him for 3 hours trying to figure out what this beautiful scent could be.

When I got home, I could still smell it. It was only when I got undressed that I was realised - it was my body lotion

I knew this was going to be a baby one! There's no better smell than the back of MY baby's neck...it's all milky and snuggly. Omg I love baby smell, my 3 year old smells like a child now

Also petrol.

DD2 has a rabbit toy she sleeps with that she says is the best smell in the world. It's probably crawling with bacteria but I don't have the heart to steal it from her to wash it.

Mine are:
Fresh sheets off the line
Rain after a hot, dusty day
The smell of snow before a snowstorm
Campfires
Bacon and coffee
The Berlin metro
Origins white tea body cream

And popcorn

Some nice smells here. I used to love breathing in my fluffy cat. He was like my baby. Our current cat won't allow it. I still love sniffing my dc's hair, even though they're not babies any more.

I love fresh sea air at the beach, cut grass, clean washing off the line, summer rain, bonfires and matches. Nice smells are one of life's pleasures.

Agree with posters saying rain after a dry spell, it also has a lovely name; 'Petrichor' - which is so satisfying to say! Is that weird!?

Also love the smell of Play Doh, so much so that a friend of mine tracked down some American Play Doh scented room spray for my birthday a few years back! Heaven!

Isn't brand new newborn smell just the smell of inside your uterus?!

Does anyone remember that purple ink that preceded photocopies in school? Teachers used to write on special paper and run it through a machine to get copies? That smell was amazing. This would be around 35 years ago.
I love the smell of emulsion paint.

Do other people's newborns smell as good as your own? I wondered if it was some kind of hormonal thing.

The first time you turn the central heating on in winter
Hawthorn hedges

missvictoria exactly !! Its not that i hate the smell , I love holding newborn's and snuggling them but it's not a pleasant smell at all imo
