To think that if you pay £325 for children's shoes then you can't complain if they get scuffed?

Gold medal winning sadface here. The mother does seem to have made a career out of this sort of publicity but seriously, kids are tough on their clothes and shoes. If you're not happy with that then don't spend over £300 on a pair!!

OK, I'm going to get flamed for this but I strongly doubt her dd is actually a model.
There. I said it.

AddictedtoLovely · 06/01/2017 19:53

That child will have few friends

Miserylovescompany2 · 06/01/2017 20:01

Surely you'd put your three year old child in something she'd be able to actually play in? Plus, you'd be with your child at that age. So, not a play date. The child was being looked after in her inside only red wellie like boots.

Poor child, maybe the mother would be better served getting a doll to dress?

JeffreySadsacIsUnwell · 06/01/2017 20:01

I think the journo got the dress and job mixed up. The woman is "a pubic figure", otherwise known as a twat.

1horatio · 06/01/2017 20:06

That's crazy! Kids will be kids. There's no use to make them wear shoes they can't actually use. Especially on a play date.

If you make your kid wear shoes this expensive you must be ok with children damaging them during play. Anything else is pretentious and trashy.

Miserylovescompany2 · 06/01/2017 20:11

The woman dressed herself in a HUGE merkin FFS!!! Pubic hair from where/what I wonder? The mind truely boggles...

Cocolepew · 06/01/2017 20:12

Her halloween costume! Wtf?

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 06/01/2017 20:17

This women had her dd over to play, probably fed her and made a huge fuss of her, and. Now an idiot is trying to demand money from her. Away and fuck. She's a fool if she gives her a penny.
I agree this poor child won't be invited anywhere now, and that nonsense
. "I was devastated when I saw the shoes.'. devastated !!!!!!! The fucking soft cow. Its a pair of shoes. FGS.

Flumpsnlumpsnstuff · 06/01/2017 20:17

Bet her daughter drew on the bloody boots so she didn't have to wear them anymore Grin

1horatio · 06/01/2017 20:18

flump they really aren't very pretty, are they?

Ericaequites · 06/01/2017 20:19

For pen or crayon marks on most things, try WD40. It got crayon smears out of my dryer and pen marks off wellies. Neat acetone will get Sharpie marks, but test on a inconspicuous spot first. NEVER use acetone on rayon.

Cocolepew · 06/01/2017 20:24

Im not getting the wrong end of the stick am I?
She went as the victim of Adam Johnston for halloween?

Rednailsandnaeknickers · 06/01/2017 20:24

Now now erica what's with coming on here with sensible, helpful suggestions of how to remove said Sharpie marks? That might actually spoil her master plan of getting £325 for hideous fake new boots and lots and lots of luvverly attention!
I bet she's absolutely gutted she's only made it into the local rag so far and is desperate for the DM to pick this up - OP are you a ringer Wink

Cocolepew · 06/01/2017 20:27

Its on the DM website all ready, I saw it earlier.

missbishi · 06/01/2017 20:35

InTheKitchen, I suspect the poor child is registered with a few of those scam agencies, the sort who charge £250 for a portfolio with no guarantee of work. Whether she actually gets any work is another matter.

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 06/01/2017 20:38

Seconded.

If you are, I'm there with you.

If we are not incorrect stick holders that is vile.

Liiinoo · 06/01/2017 20:46

I doubt the designer and public figure will be interested but for the rest of us who live in the real world, a little bog-standard hairspray will get sharpie (and other pen marks) off almost anything. Spray it on and rub off (while still wet) with a clean cloth. Or, if it is pen marks on something electronic and you are feeling cautious, spray the hairspray onto the clean cloth and apply that way.

S' magic. You are all very welcome.

Want2bSupermum · 06/01/2017 20:47

What an odious woman to use her child for publicity. Who cares about the price of the shoes. The welfare of this child should be looked at more closely. This is not a good environment for a child to grow up in.

Celaena · 06/01/2017 20:47

i had to google who he was, she's so classy Hmm

can anyone find those boots in real life? i had a quick search, but couldnt see them anywhere? £325 for kid shoes? really??

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 06/01/2017 20:51

I think she "designed" those shoes herself and £325 is the price they should be in her weird little world.

Bananabread123 · 06/01/2017 20:53

Her poor daughter :-(

Waterlemon · 06/01/2017 20:53

I'm inclined to think that her daughter probably scribbled on her own shoes! Probably in rebellion at being made to wear the stupid things in the first place! Long boots are actually very difficult for toddlers to move about in they restrict their ankle joint considerably!

HelenaGWells · 06/01/2017 22:07

From the photo they don't look "scuffed and worn as if worn for a year" there is a black mark on them but tbh at 3 either child could have done that in about 30 seconds whilst a back was turned. The mum may not have even noticed. It's a pain and Is Annoying but these things happen.

She's just basically ensured that her child never goes on another play date. I know I
Wouldn't take a child whose mum was so batshit that she "won't allow her daughter to be anything less than pristine." And wants to bill you designer prices for a slightly marked shoe.

mygorgeousmilo · 06/01/2017 22:13

That poor kid!

Groovee · 06/01/2017 22:22

Do you think she plans to go on Jusge Rinder to get her money back?
