My stepson and his tissues (posting for traffic)

I don't know how to put this, but I was cleaning today and there was a big pile of stained tissues stuffed behind a wardrobe. How do I tell him to put them in the bin rather then behind wardrobe without embarrassing him.

God that was hard to right.

Maybe a gift of bin, tissues, wank sock and penis beaker

9GreenBottles · 02/01/2017 00:02

My partner had to have a similar conversation with his son a few years ago - but he had been putting the tissues down the toilet en masse rather than in the bin which caused it to block!

I hope the conversation in your house goes well Smile

Give him a bin "for your tissues", with bin liner in place and the rest of the roll of bin liners underneath the liner. He'll be sorted for months. Just tell him which outside bin they go in, or get his dad to.

He can clean his own room surely...?

QueenArseClangers · 02/01/2017 00:33

Fucking hell, what were you searching for behind his wardrobe? Jizzlan the talking magical spunk lion?

Isadora2007 · 02/01/2017 00:36

Just make a point of ensuring he has a bin in the bedroom maybe move it next to the bed?

jayisforjessica · 02/01/2017 02:21

What is a penis beaker!!!? I never could find that thread in Classics!

Millionsmom · 02/01/2017 03:02

Seriously snorting at the bunting suggestion Grin

I have 4 DSs, all their socks seemed to gravitate to DS1s room where he'd use them for his runny nose.

After joining Mumsnet, I discovered it's wasn't his nose.

I think I was a little too naive. He's 33 now, I can't wait til his son has a runny nose, I'll buy him some lovely bunting .... Wink

DH's stepmother mentioned to him the 'noseblowings' he had accumulated under his bed when he was in his late teens. He recounted the story at her wake. Hmm
