No AIBU, but what's everyone's resolution?

I'm determined 2017 will be a better year than 2016!

To not buy so much

AtSea1979 · 01/01/2017 07:10

So much is out of my control at the minute so no sweeping statements of a better year but for me: lose 20lbs, 52 small changes, combat fear of spiders.

HormonalChicken · 01/01/2017 07:33

To get my identity back.

ForalltheSaints · 01/01/2017 07:38

Never make them

Handbag101 · 01/01/2017 09:33

To read more books, spend less and say 'no' a little bit more.

positivity123 · 01/01/2017 09:36

Reduce my food waste
Run 5k in under 30mins

VagueButExcitlng · 01/01/2017 09:40

To use Wishing Wells for good instead of evil

That is the best resolution I've ever heard!

Mine all seem really boring now.

BravoPanda · 01/01/2017 09:46

To focus on my own work rather than spending 12hrs of my day ferrying around/looking after other family members who are quite fecking capable.

Wannabefit2016 · 01/01/2017 11:15

To be an absolute minimalist. Especially with regards to Xmas and New Years preparations.
Also Capsule Wardrobe, simple meal planning, Kondo-ing house. Not giving too much of myself at work either.
More self care and time for me.

In short, making life simple and enjoyable.

ButterflyOfFreedom · 03/01/2017 12:10

I knew there must be a New Years Resolution thread somewhere!

Mine are:

  • do more reading
  • do more running
  • cook more roast dinners (have realised it is every member of my family's favourite meal but I hardly ever do it!)
  • stop biting my nails
  • shout less
  • be more patient
  • stop OCD ruining my (& my family's) life - THIS IS A MUST!!
IWantAnotherBaby · 03/01/2017 12:13
  1. Run a 10k (did couch to 5k in 2016 and running 5k once or twice a week)
  2. reach my target weight (6kg to go)
  3. Random acts of kindness
  4. finally get 10 years of paperwork sorted out (hopefully binned...)
  5. Save 10k by the end of the year (outgoings currently enormous so this will be a huge challenge)
lozzylizzy · 03/01/2017 12:14

Be more proactive as I have been a little lazy with things lately.

Lemond1fficult · 03/01/2017 12:21

To not buy any clothes at all. I have a few nice coats, a full wardrobe, several full under-bed zippy thingies-full in the attic, and a decent sewing machine, so there should really be no need. I just really want to see if I can!

Handbag101 · 03/01/2017 12:39

I also want to save £5,000 and also buy some more premium bonds.
