Myself and dh are due in court next month as witnesses. We have 3 week old dd who is exclusively bf. Will this mean I am exempt?

I doubt it but they will make allowances for you. Have you let them know you have a small baby?

NewAtAllOffThis · 30/12/2016 13:10

Yeah when the police delivered the summons I explained to them and I have written to the court.

Not usually, no.

Not sure what you mean by exempt as a witness.

Are you perhaps mixing it up with being excused from being a juror?

There's quite a lot of info about being a witness here

Contact the courts yourself to make sure they have received the police message and ask what arangements they will make, saves any upset when you arrive on day one to find there's a problem.
