To be terrified by the Baba Vanga prophecies

Hello all,

I was randomly looking on the web a few days ago and came across the baba vanga prophecies. The bit about a war in the middle east turning into WWIII and the use of weapons in Europe terrifies me. I would usually dismiss this kind of stuff, but she has predicted many other things correctly in the past. AIBU to consider moving my family to Australasia on the basis of these terrifying predictions?

Well she went blind at 12, so perhaps she didn't 'see' planes in her lifetime when she had her eyesight .... Steel birds are a pretty accurate symbol.....

BahHum

They have just released info about having foiled a terrorist plot in Australia, just before Christmas.

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_terrorist_incidents_in_Australia

Terrorism in Australia.

addstudentdinners2 · 29/12/2016 17:45

Yes they had that attack at the Lindt store, and they are always foiling various plots

It's pretty safe in the U.K. to be fair, last terrorise incident was the murder of Lee Rigby.

ComputerUserNumptyTwit · 29/12/2016 17:48

There was a fabulous Lee and Herring sketch (that probably predated the metal bird prediction) describing the time one of them climbed into the belly of the great silver snake and travelled to London. On his return he was made King of All Somerset.

I would bloody LOVE for someone to find it on YouTube. I've tried and failed Sad

Megatherium · 29/12/2016 17:48

I guarantee that blind people describe aeroplanes as aeroplanes, not steel birds.

seagaze · 29/12/2016 17:50

Cheerful soul wasn't she.

ShebaShimmyShake · 29/12/2016 17:59

War in the Middle East? Gracious me.

(You may want to look up how long that particular one has been going on for, in one form or another.)

PM sent, MFC.

Have just been looking at some of Baba Vanga'd future predictions

China rises
According to the prophetess, China will become a world power in 2018.

She’s probably out a few years here as China is already an economic and military powerhouse.

We’ve also apparently got a change in the earth’s orbit to look forward to some time before 2023.

A golden age
A new energy source will be created and global hunger will start to be eradicated between 2025 and 2028. A manned spacecraft to Venus will be launched.

Ice caps melt
From 2033 to 2045 the polar ice caps will melt, causing ocean levels to rise. Meanwhile, Muslims rule Europe and the world economy is thriving.

Cloning cures most diseases
The rise of cloning allows doctors to cure any disease as the body is simply and easily replaced.

The US will launch an attack on Muslim Rome using a climate-based ‘instant freezing’ weapon.

Red and green
A LOT happens from 2170 to 2256, including a Mars colony becoming a nuclear power and demanding independence from the earth, the establishment of an underwater city and the discovery of something “terrible” during the search for alien life.

Time travel
Some time between 2262 and 2304 we’ll crack time travel. Meanwhile French guerrillas fight the Muslim authorities in France.

The "secrets of the moon” will be unveiled.

The end of the earth
From 2341 a series of natural and man-made disasters render our home planet uninhabitable. Humanity escapes to another solar system, but resources are scarce and wars are waged as a result.

Going backwards - 3815 to 3878
Civilization has been destroyed and people live like beasts until a new religion rises to lead us out of the darkness.

Immortal alien hybrids
From 4302 to 4674 the concepts of evil and hatred have been eliminated, humans are immortal and have assimilated with aliens.

The 340 billion people scattered throughout the universe can talk to God. Which is nice."

So much we'll miss out on, but looking forward to that manned spacecraft to Venus in our lifetime - that will be tragically entertaining.

midlifehope · 29/12/2016 18:04

Not on this scale though Sheba.....

ShebaShimmyShake · 29/12/2016 18:12

Only because we have better killing technology now.

midlifehope · 29/12/2016 18:16

Indeed.

Sybys 😄

This is all putting in mind of the psychic who told me I would have 3 children by the age of 21 and would pass my GCSEs if I worked harder.

ComputerUserNumptyTwit · 29/12/2016 18:22

Jesus, Syb. I'm sold.

BahHumbuggle · 29/12/2016 18:22

Ah I see.

Still though, they have kangaroos and koala bears and I don't think you could ask for much more than that!

KatharinaRosalie · 29/12/2016 18:25

It's all BS. pickle.nine.com.au/2015/12/09/11/40/baba-vanga

Lweji · 29/12/2016 18:25

Plus 2016 is finished and muslims haven't invaded Europe.

It depends who you ask. Wink

And there's still time for M day.

midlifehope · 29/12/2016 18:25

It's sounding tempting isn't it BahHumbuggle. Wanna come? Shame about the earthquakes though...... Nowhere is perfect I guess!

Lweji · 29/12/2016 18:28

A manned spacecraft to Venus will be launched.

She'd do well to learn some basic astronomy first. Nobody has an interest in sending people to Venus. Unless they were trying too dispose of zombies' bodies to make sure the beasts were dead.

Sybys · 29/12/2016 18:34

Lweji - yup! Hence me last comment in that post. It'd be spectacularly gruesome.

Lweji · 29/12/2016 18:36

Yes, sorry, I posted before reading it all. :)
Still, perhaps they could send some brave reality show stars. Maybe the kind that seems to think reality can be changed by tweeting the opposite. IYKWIM

laylabelle · 29/12/2016 18:37

Gutted we're going to miss out on some fun stuff!
