Sick to fuckers of cooking , doing dishes and cleaning house. I'm a farmers wife and have 4 kids and quite frankly need a break so iv ordered Chinese and got a bottle of chardonnay chilling.

Ooh I love a dirty Chinese and a vat load of wine , sick of leftovers so might do the same tomorrow night

bloodyteenagers · 28/12/2016 19:39

I had a take away last night and tonight. Washed down with koppaberg, Budweiser and wine (left over booze from Christmas. Seems wasteful to tip a glass from each bottle of wine).
One of the older ones decided to take the youngest off to hers for a few days.

CreakyWitch · 28/12/2016 19:40

Grown-up children all went home yesterday leaving just me, DH and SIL (first time - signs of future Christmases :-( ) so we went out to the pub for dinner so we didn't feel a bit down with the sudden quiet.

storminabuttercup · 28/12/2016 19:41

Well I'm doing exactly the same but with Sauvignon blanc not Chardonnay!

iklboodolphRedNoseReindeer · 28/12/2016 19:43

We had Chinese on 23rd. Huge portions - enough to freeze for another time. Plus two small boxes of party favours, party poppers, streamers & balloons, Christmas crackers, prawn crackers and a tub of profiteroles free.

Emmerdalefan · 28/12/2016 20:00

Omg that was the lushest chinese we have ever had . Yum yum. Our last Chinese was over a year ago . Mmmmmm well worth the wait. I'm so full now though and feel like a pig haha x

Delighted for you. Enjoy.Grin

WorraLiberty · 28/12/2016 20:41

Oh come on, of course I was joking!

It was such a ridiculous question, I didn't think the OP actually wanted sensible answers Xmas Grin

WorraLiberty · 28/12/2016 20:43

Unless of course you're a raging alcoholic with a noodle allergy

In which case I stick by my original answer.

Mum2jenny · 28/12/2016 20:44

YANBU, enjoy the Chinese takeaway, I wish I'd ordered one.

SmashDemGuineaPigs · 28/12/2016 20:45

Damn, already had dinner and now I read this??! Jealous Wink

Emmerdalefan · 28/12/2016 20:45

I'm now in bed with my dd4 who has her toddler bed against ours. She is insisting on holding my hand so with a full tummy I'm set for the night. Il have the wine another night. I'm such a bore but to be honest I love this time of night when I can mumsnet whilst my babies drift to sleep. 10pm is a late night for me these days. My dd4 and 3 both habe toddler beds in our room attached to our super king bed. We had co slept for years with them and we are starting the transition to beds which they are happy about so long as they next to us. So for me I'm in bed for the night. Rock n roll or what haha x

Ooh jealous! I had planned fajitas but couldn't be arsed so had frozen pizza followed by left over cheese and crackers. Was brilliant. But wish I'd thought of Chinese now x

FurryLittleTwerp · 28/12/2016 20:48

We're eating the last of the roast dead creatures tonight & having Chinese tomorrow it's closed on a Wednesday Xmas Smile

Emmerdalefan · 28/12/2016 20:50

Apologies for you finding it ridiculous worra . It was only meant tongue in cheek

fruitbats · 28/12/2016 21:03

ShinyMoonFace · 28/12/2016 21:12

God I wish we could have chinese. We are in a Month Of Frugal following an insane Christmas.

We had sweetcorn, bacon and potato chowder here, crusty rye bread and leftover Christmas stilton. DH said it was yum.i asked him;'How the feck is potato soup, black bread and cheese a good meal? That's prison rations from Victorian times' Grin

(It was pretty good though- but Kung po chicken is one of my top 5 meals....... drool)

Wolfiefan · 28/12/2016 21:16

Haha Worra. Noodle allergy! Xmas Grin

murasaki · 28/12/2016 21:30

Dp has gone on man date to see rogue whatever it is with my best mate. I tried to convince him to do dinner as a late lunch but no. Despite me having had 3 smoked salmon and cream cheese crackers two hours ago, I am starving. AIBU to text him to say I'm doing my own tea as he's clearly. Not cooking when he gets in? Nb he was going to cook steak which he likes to do, so not me being a slacker, I have done all meals since Xmas day
