Got dd a steff love bike tour toy for Xmas. I thought she'd love it and she does. The strap of the bike helmet has broke but it's only the tiniest bit. WIBU to return it as it has been out of the box and it is a tiny bit that has broken?

YANBU. It's broken...you want a new one.

Well I can't find the receipt now so I guess I can't anyway.

Found it! DP thinks I'm being silly. That it was bound to break because it wasn't expensive.

Nooo it was something you paid for...and as a Christmas present it should be fully fit for use. Take it back definitely!

I don't know the particular toy in question, but given that you describe it as a toy it should be capable of withstanding some wear and tear. I would take it back.

It's like a barbie doll with a toy bike she rides on and a little helmet to wear. The helmet has a tiny strap on it and the bit that holds the strap in and therefore the helmet on has snapped. I could try and glue it I suppose.
