AIBU to really dislike the Channel 4 adaptation of 'I'm going on a bear hunt'?

My dd loves the book because of the rhythm and the fact we can chant along to the words. But this wasn't really captured at all in the Channel 4 adaptation. I think if you don't know the book in the first place the adaptation would very quite magical... but as we do - I wasn't impressed. Any thoughts?

I always feel sorry for the bear at the end of the book.

Yanbu. Didn't capture the book and made my (grown up) dd cry!

CloudPerson · 25/12/2016 19:38

I could have cried for the bear in the adaptation, poor thing.
Why didn't the useless girl tell someone about the bear being poorly and lonely?
The poor, poor bear Sad

It was horrible. I want to crawl into the bear's cave and give him a big hug and more honey sandwiches Sad

The sad bear in the book is so much more subtle and open to your own interpretation.

The tv programme - very explicitly sad! I wonder it wasn't on til half past 7!
