The latter feels like sacrilege, but in my defence we've been without telly for 3 months whilst switched from the joys of BT to the even greater joy of Virgin media installed just yesterday, hence my even forgetting RTimes and it being a Christmas 'thing' Grin

Thus we have a magnificent new box that accesses all channels and a positive ream of on demand etc - all great except I can't figure out how to even get to the 'what's on' home bit Blush I am however extremely confident a DC will be able to figure out new telly and new box tomm, but - owing to said lapse vis RT - have nada clue what's worth watching on. Any pointers you lovely lot?

Oh, and happy Christmas! Have the rows started yet?!

I bought a radio times and have lost it! Or possibly dh has recycled it! No idea what's on.

carelesswhisper27 · 25/12/2016 00:35

Bake off tomorrow and Boxing Day I think. An Agatha Christie adaptation on bbc1 either tomorrow or Boxing Day. Sherlock New Year's Day!! And that's literally it Blush

ragz134 · 25/12/2016 01:06

I nearly bought a Radio Times, then I saw the price! £4.50. Seriously.

Titsywoo · 25/12/2016 01:07

Just use tvguide.co.uk

TheMortificadosDragon · 25/12/2016 01:19

Careless had me worried - there is Dr Who tomorrow. Whew.Grin

BagelGoesWalking · 25/12/2016 01:23

On my planned recordings for Xmas Day I have:

Spy - Sky Comedy 12.15
It's a Wonderful Life - BBC 13.00
The Artist - BBC2 14.30
The Queen's Speech BBC1 15.00
Dancing the Nutcracker BBC2 16.00
Great British Bakeoff BBC1 16.45
Morecombe & Wise Christmas Show BBC2 17.40
Dr Who BBC1 17.45
Christmas Uni Challenge BBC2 18.45
Paul O'Grady For The Love of Dogs ITV 18.45
Oliver W Channel 19.00
Call The Midwife BBC1 20.00

I'm sure we won't watch all of these in the end but we're not home tomorrow so would like the choice to see them later. Also on C5 is Wizard of Oz at 14.10 and Singin' in The Rain at 16.10

MadisonAvenue · 25/12/2016 01:26

Not sure there's much I want to watch apart from Bake Off. I think one of Channel 4's channels has a few hours of Big Bang Theory at some point.

Didn't get the Radio Times either - £4.50! Bought the £1 cheapy TV guide instead.

BoiledSprouts · 25/12/2016 01:31

Look up what's on National Geographic Channel 5pm.

Surely the must-see TV of the day??

RortyCrankle · 25/12/2016 01:37

I use this: www.radiotimes.com/tv/tv-listings/?sd=24-12-2016%2023:00 You can add/subtract channels by clicking on 'My Channels'

RachelRagged · 25/12/2016 08:03

My sons have been waiting a long time for the Dr Who special so that will be watched and I am afraid I am a soap fiend , so all the soaps too.

Merry Christmas to you all Xmas Smile Wine

Eebahgum · 25/12/2016 10:43

I'm very disappointed by Christmas tv listings. When I was a child it was very exciting seeing what was scheduled. Today we've got the croods, frozen and it's a wonderful life to look forward to. I guess in this age of 4 billion channels it's hard for them to find something original but I think they could do a bit better if they tried.

PlymouthMaid1 · 25/12/2016 10:52

The film Pride is on lateish Boxing Day on one of the main channels.

PlymouthMaid1 · 25/12/2016 10:53

And Lion King this afternoon.

caroldecker · 25/12/2016 10:53

Boiled Just added that to my planner

QIsForCube · 25/12/2016 11:27

For us all we are watching is:
Top of the Pops,
Bake off,
Strictly,
University Challenge
That is literally it. Confused We are not film or soap fans here so that rules out basically everything! They've been kind through and left Eastenders until 9.30. I bought TV Times - better articles in my opinion and cheaper!

Becles · 25/12/2016 14:20

Roald Dahl's revolting rhymes on bbc1

glitterazi · 25/12/2016 15:58

Been a bit skint these past few months, and so got a (nice) TV guide out of one of the weekend newspapers.
T'was big, had all the listings, and was a nice shiny magazine.
Not the Radio Times though as didn't have enough spare cash (have yoy SEEN the price of it?!)
Thought the smalls could still highlight the telly programmes which they like to watch, as it's a Christmas tradition they love to do.
Should have seen their faces though. Hmm
"It's not the same!" So they haven't touched it. Whatevs. Grr

TheMortificadosDragon · 25/12/2016 17:09

I've just googled to find what I'm missing on National Geographic.Grin
