Five years ago. How did I not know?

I'm watching it with my jaw on the table.

CockacidalManiac · 24/12/2016 10:32

New World Order! That's real nutty stuff.

Manumission · 24/12/2016 10:33

Perhaps I should stop linking them Blush

I'm not sure it's my place to question his sanity. Not sure how his most 'out-there' beliefs are any different to someone believing that a man who died on a cross came back to life then floated up to heaven.

He was right about the paedophile rings, wasn't he?

CockacidalManiac · 24/12/2016 10:34

He was right about the paedophile rings, wasn't he?

Do you mean David Icke?

DaffyJones · 24/12/2016 10:34

The collie's too busy going barking mad.

CockacidalManiac · 24/12/2016 10:35

Not sure how his most 'out-there' beliefs are any different to someone believing that a man who died on a cross came back to life then floated up to heaven.

That's pretty mad stuff too

OohMavis · 24/12/2016 10:36

Yet you don't get many calling Christians insane Grin

Manumission · 24/12/2016 10:37

Was he mavis? Until 4am today I thought he was a jobbing blokey actor he recorded a song about curries once.

Now it transpires that he considers the word "Royal" on a court building halfway to case closed on an international conspiracy and someone is saying something to me about New World Order nor being an obvious non-conspiracy Confused

The world has gone a bit sideways.

CockacidalManiac · 24/12/2016 10:37

I'd personally say that anyone that believes in the literal truth of the bible is delusional too, yes.

MrsJayy · 24/12/2016 10:38

Keith Allen is a knob so this doesnt surprise me. I saw him on telly asking a teen from a single parent poor family if he was worried about the carbon footprint of the fruit he was buying in Asda the teen gave him a Confused oh and he also said the estate they lived on was gritty, Knob

Manumission · 24/12/2016 10:38

Ah David Icke and paedophile rings. Yes that makes more sense.

OP posts:
OohMavis · 24/12/2016 10:39

No I mean David Icke. He's been hot on this paedophilia shit for years.

I didn't even know Keith Allen had made a film!

CockacidalManiac · 24/12/2016 10:40

Icke is a complete nutcase. You can read all about his wacky adventures here:

rationalwiki.org/wiki/David_Icke

CockacidalManiac · 24/12/2016 10:45

And of course there's bias in the media; print media is owned by a select few bastards, and the BBC tends to suck up to the government of the day. It's important to be aware of that.
Mad internet sites like the Canary and Breitbart are completely biased in their own way too, though. Everyone has an agenda.
Scepticism is a great thing. Batshit conspiracy theories have to bear analysis too.

CockacidalManiac · 24/12/2016 10:49

Icke sprays out so much bullshit; you can't just latch onto the paedo stuff while ignoring that he links it to shapeshifter lizards.

OohMavis · 24/12/2016 10:56

Things usually come out eventually. We'll know one day.

I genuinely believe that in a few decades we'll know the complete truth regarding 9/11, for example Smile

DaffyJones · 24/12/2016 10:57

Why not Cockacidal? You seem to be ignoring the fact that the world's crazy at the moment. Let me guess, you think it is all about countries having "deficits" and multiculturalism causing problems.

DaffyJones · 24/12/2016 11:15

"Batshit conspiracy theories have to bear analysis too". Okay, Child stealing by the State: well-respected Mnetter Family Lawyer/ Barrister called Spero has recently confirmed that "the focus is on removal rather than support".

SnatchedPencil · 24/12/2016 11:17

YANBU. It runs in the family unfortunately.

Manumission · 24/12/2016 11:20

Oh yes that was in staunch refutation of the conspiracy notion, wasn't it? I'd asked her about the pendulum model of child protection trends just before that. I was there and concentrating Smile Spero spent the whole thread rebutting the conspiracy theory I think.

OP posts:
Boundaries · 24/12/2016 11:21

Daffy - how do you know Spero is anything of the sort? S/he is a faceless person on an Internet forum giving an opinion. Not in a position to "confirm" anything. S/he could be a 65 year old man called Kevin who like orange socks and never had a job....

DaffyJones · 24/12/2016 11:26

Are you saying that re child protection and family court, Spero didn't say "the focus is on removal rather than support" ?

Manumission · 24/12/2016 11:27

The child snatching conspiracy theory is an interesting example.

I was lurking on that thread asking the occasional stupid question. Because the business of what it is arouses (and feeds) suspicion about child protection is very interesting.

These things get so very polarised.

OP posts:
Manumission · 24/12/2016 11:29

Yes she did say that. She was saying that that was the current direction in which debateable cases erred. Which isn't insignificant. But it wasn't in any way confirming a conspiracy.

OP posts:
DaffyJones · 24/12/2016 11:31

So she did say it? And she is a Family Court barrister on the south west circuit?
